2001 Harley-Davidson Touring

I recently purchased this cycle from an E Bay seller. The transaction was more than smooth. The cycle has plelnty of low end power to do most anything and the handling is exceptional for a touring bike. Creature comforts abound on this bike from the am/fm radio, CB, intercom, and front and rear speakers. There is plenty to do on a long haul. The seat is comfortable but could have a little more padding for the driver. I did want to mention one problem that I have been made aware of. It appears that the twin cam engines are noted for having oil blowback problems. If you drive at higher cruising speed, oil can collect in the upper part of the heads. It will eventually come out of the air breather. There is apparently a fix for it but is a little costly and entails taking the motor partially apart to put a kit in. The kit does fix the problem. This did occur on my particular bike. This bike handles like a dream and is at it's best managing a nice scenic, twisty road. Gas mileage averages in the neighborhood of 45 to 50 mpg while traveling on the road. I would recommend this bike to anyone!

i liked the style and accessories on the bike. it rides very well and is very easy to manuver and control. it has plenty of power. i saw this model of harley at a dealer but it had to high of price tag and was higher milage than i wanted. i would highly recoment anyone that likes this style of bike to but this same model. it is a 2001 harley FXDXT. the only thing i dislike about the bike is i wish it had a lower seat. i am 5'5" with 29" inseam.
