Roomba SE Bagless Robotic Vacuum

When I recieved both of my Roombas, I found the same issue with them both. If you buy a used machine, pull the filter out and clean the whole thing. I took some cleaning wipes (i won't throw names around) and cleaned the filter holder, dust bin, and the brushes. I know it sounds wierd, but you have to clean your vacuum. I really enjoy having the Roombas and they are a good time saver if you don't have the time to deep clean your floors. HOWEVER, they don't work to well on my carpets, as I have a medium pile carpet. If I had been able to afford a Roomba in college, that would have helped clean those floors before inspections.
If you are unsure on weather to buy a Roomba or not, let me tell you my test. I took a tube sock filled with talc (AKA baby powder). I dropped it on my bathroom floor and made two big splashes of powder on the floor. Anybody that uses powder on the floor knows it is now the easiest thing to get up. I let my Roomba work and 45 mins later, you could not tell I had dropped the powder. Now, why would powder be signifigant if you are thinking of getting a Roomba? If your house is mostly hardwood, like mine, it helps pick up the dust on the floor. If you are like me, you can dust and clean the hard wood and turn around 30 mins later and have dust. It is maddening, but Roomba can dust/sweep every day if you want, more than once if you want them too.
In short, I am happy with my Roomba(s) and don't regret buying them. I wish they had been cleaner and better taken care of when I purchased, but they are good now. I would and have and DO recommend them for College students, elderly, and ANYONE who wants a clean floor but doesn;t have the time to sweep or mop every day!
