Garmin StreetPilot® c330 Car GPS Receiver

I bought this gadget after getting lost one too many times...
Now I can set my mind at ease while I let the navigation system plan my route instead.

There are some great features that this particular model offers that other's don't. I was looking at comprable Garmin devices as well as the TomTom. The reason I went with Garmin is for its reliability of Maps and their establishment in the US. The TomTom is a European based company, and from what I hear, their US maps still have some kinks. Garmin apparently uses the most trusted sources of maps. Based on the routes that I've taken, the routes are comprable to the results that I've gotten from MapQuest.

Pros:
**Intuitive- I was able to use it out of the box
**Maps- Uses MapSource, a reliable provider of Maps
**Areas of interest- You are able to find restaurants, shops, gas stations, etc. based on name or distance. Great feature!!
**Small- easily transportable from vehicle to vehicle
**Map Views- You can select from 3 different views- I prefer the 3D view
**Battery Power as well as Car charger
**Clear Directions

Cons:
**Unit doesn't take Traffic into consideration- This unit does NOT have the option to add XM NavTraffic
**Quickest route does not take into account traffic lights
**One voice to choose from

Overall I think the unit is a great buy, and I'm hoping it will save me time driving in circles as I just moved to a new area. The TomTom apparently is a little more "fun", but lacks reliability. I think that you are making a solid purchace by picking up this Garmin unit.

Excellent for finding your way around town, state, or states. Love it !! The price was right so I thought I would get one. Beats having to plan your route any other way!

A good value for the money with detailed and fairly current maps. Slow to acquire satalites, and looses tracking frequently. I would not pay new price but a good value on used market.

Got it quick!!! Was already registered on=line through Garmin, so now trying to figure out how to register.

I bought this item so I could find my way around New York State and the many weddings I planned to attend. The GPS also got me to Baltimore and back without any problems or getting lost. I love that if you make a wrong turn or decide to go a different way, it recalculates itself and will get you to your destination another way. Sometimes it is a little slow to acquire its satellites, but I can only imagine how many people are using this product. I also love that it gives you an estimated time of arrival to your destination. It makes planning ahead so much easier. It was seriously worth the money to purchase and the time to look into buying one.

I bought this StreetPilot used from a wonderful ebay seller who was very honest and upfront about the item. It works like it is brand new! My girlfriend loves it for her real estate needs! I highly recommend buying one if you can get at a great price like I did.

This product is terrific!!! I actually bought two of them - one for my son and daughter-in-law who travelled across country and one for me. I am a salesman and I used to waste a lot of gas and time trying to find addresses.
Now I can see more accounts in less time.

This GPS is awesome! So easy to use and has so many pre programed destinations! I will never be lost again, I feel so confident when I travel out of my area! Out of all the systems I've tried this one is by far the best!I took the wrong exit the other day and thought I was going to have to get back on the turnpike, however my GPS gave me a route through town and I saved tons of time! I would highly recommend this system!

For an entry level GPS Receiver, this unit is powerful, practical and very useful. I have a Tom Tom One, and this is a much better GPS in many ways (especially giving directions :-) ) Here are some of the positive points of this receiver:
* Very easy to use interface, useful out of the the box
* Aquires connection rather quickly
* Has timed, aoto shut-off feature when the unit loses power (you turn off car)
* Has excellent points of interest searching. Awesome when looking for genre stores or by categories of foood for restaurants.
* small screen is not intrusive, yet very clear, not too cluttered with info and informative
* calculating alternate routes is very easy and very accurate

Negatives:
* a bit bulky depth wise
* updating maps and points of interest is impossible to find
* voice sounds very "computerish" with limited choices
* Less bells and whistles than similar priced GPS's

Car rental company wanted $86 for 5 days. This was only a little more and I got a bag, both chargers, memory card and a dash pad. Great entry-level GPS for not a lot of money

I love the Garmin and the way it works. We used one that my brother-in-law, in Yakima, had and we liked it so much we wanted one. The one we bought was refurbished by the factory but the battery won't stay charged for more than 2 or three hours. Other than that, I love it.

This was practically ready to go,right out of the box,Clear,easy to understand directions,secure suction cup mount,Easy to understand voice prompts,does not yell at you when you miss a turn,simply recalculates.I purchased this because I like to try new places for fishing with my 2 sons,getting there with mapquest is ok,although many times I have felt like there has to be a quicker route,With the Garmin,you can choose speed,or distance as a search default,and it gets you where you need to be{and home too!which isnt always easy with mapquest,as it is usually dark on the way home,and hard to read}Only complaint,if really one,is the screen tends to wash out in sunlight,based on viewing angle.Other than that,this thing is COOL!,and I would have no problem recommending to anyone.

It is what I have been renting at Avis, and I got really used to how to use it, so I wanted one like it!

Saved me gas first day. On my first days use, I saved at least 25.00 in fuel. I higly reccomend this unit to anyone interested.

I´ve bought this item from myron global, a seller from e-bay.
This item came broken. I´ve tried to contact the seller many times by phone or by e-mail but no response at all. I´ve mail the item back to the seller. I didn´t received no refund!!! e-bay didn´t helped me!!! I was stolen in quite 2 hundred dollars! Where is the e-bay staff? Who can help me? E-bay is not a safe place for buyers!

I needed the GPS to make a trip at the end of the month. I Didn't receive it though. I was really hoping to try it out.

Garmin is the way to go you just plug it in and there you go very satisfied with this product will always buy Garmin

Bought it because I have had one previously and found it an excellent value for the price. Very satisfactory for my use around the congested NorthEast. Easy to work.

I got this for my boyfriend for Father's Day. He is hard to buy for but I remember him saying while back that he wanted a GPS. He played with it the other day and liked it. We are pleased.
