Belo jogo, para quem gosta de antiguidades. Os gráficos e a jogabilidade são boas. Gosto de jogos antigos, portanto recomendo para quem também gosta. Obrigado.

There is nothing wrong with the title but i never got to play it. It never worked for me. I was really looking forward to it too. I bought it because i love rpg or adventure type video games I am sure it would have been great.

Rygar - a very good value for the price

A surprisingly good game for the price.
You can generally buy it cheap and it will provide at least (1) replay value.

A good game to play after a day at the office.

Great retro fun for the money.

This game is a remake of a popular 80s game by the same name. The Playstation2 version has decent graphics and responsiveness. At the reduced prices one might get it for on half.com or ebay, around $5.00, it's an amazing value and must have for anyone who loves 80s or remade 80s games. The other 80s/remade 80s games I also have that are in a similar retro vein are R-Type and Gradius V - both lots of fun too!

I loved the game when I had it on NES and was thrilled when I found it on here for PS2. I didn't know they even had it on PS2.

This game is wonderful, the graphics are on target, the gameplay is challenging but not overwhelmingly hard, the story is a little odd..but hey, who's listening? I personally love these types of games where you're basically one hero against the world..lol..its a fun game!

  Rygar - classic NES revisited
Review created: 01/10/04
by: phungus-- a member of Epinions and Advisor in Games

Pros:
Excellent graphics

Cons:
Camera angles, too easy

Rygar: The Legendary Adventure for the PlayStation 2 is a remake of the classic Nintendo game Rygar, where you play a Roman warrior who must go around killing random creatures while trying to save a princess. The basic plot of the game is a pretty standard fill in the blanks kind of story, but it does include some nicely rendered CGI cutscenes in between game levels. For the most part, Rygar is an action game, but there is a little bit of puzzle solving involved. However, it would be a stretch to call it puzzle solving when it really just involves you looking for places to jump onto, as...

Rygar: Playing Fast and Loose With History For Fun and Profit
Review created: 12/26/02
by: Slusy -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Excellent music, satisfying fusion of puzzle solving and combat

Cons:
Way too short, no camera control, puzzles are too easy

I'll admit, Rygar is one of the few classic NES games that slipped by me in my youth. As such, I wasn't foaming at the mouth when the PS2 remake was announced. Nevertheless, being a sucker for Roman history and good games in general, I decided to check out Rygar: The Legendary Adventure, in the hopes that Tecmo was kinder to its classic franchises than are companies like Midway, for example. What awaited me was a fun game. That is, while it lasted. Rygar: The Legendary Adventure takes place immediately after the Roman conquest of Egypt in the 1st century B.C. A Roman warrior named Rygar ...

A Gladiator and His Yo-Yo of Doom

Pros:
Nicely rendered backgrounds, inventive storyline, great soundtrack.

Cons:
Clunky controls, clunky weapon, clunky hero.

INTRO, or WHAT THE HISTORY BOOKS DIDN'T TELL YOU Usually I try to start these reviews out with some sort of humorous anecdote surrounding the renting or purchasing of whichever video game I'm reviewing, but in the case of Rygar it was just pure desire to not study for finals. I would have just as happily grabbed the new Harry Potter game or Mario Party 23 if it would have ensured that I didn't crack a book. So instead of learning I spent a weekend emmersed in some sort of strange Greek/Roman mythological history game that, for all it's whistles and bells, only slightly beat out studying. In...

Another old school game makes its way back from the grave.
Review created: 03/02/03

Pros:
Fantastic game-play

Cons:
To short of a game. At times the camera can be a problem.

This is a great game in so many ways. I loved Rygar on the old Ninetendo. If you love a game that has combo moves this is a must have. Some of the people I talked to at Game Stop and EB World, had a difficult time with the camera angles, and told me that they would not play the game. It takes some getting use to the camera angles for this game. For starters, when you leave one room to go into the next room the way the camera is positioned, you will end up back in the room you just left. I did find a trick that does work when that happens you need to let go of the thumb stick and then wait...

Not like the NES one, but this one is really good
Review created: 11/11/03

Pros:
Very good overall.

Cons:
Game is sort of short.

This game is really good! The graphics are nearly flawless, the music is good, and the gameplay is neat. This game needs a sequel because Tecmo did an excellent job on this game!
