When the Virtua Fighter series debuted for the Sega Saturn, it was a huge hit and that's how it got its respective reputation today. Classic but great fighting engine, highly detailed characters, and lots of replay value.
If you never played Virtua Fighters before, you're missing out on some fighting action!
this game is probably a decent deal if you can get it for under 15 bucks to your door...If however you have VF4, as I did...don't waste the money...they added 2 characters and a couple of features that don't really add much. just get vf5. If you are unfamiliar with the virtua-fighter series, I would call it a relatively mindless fighting game. You will win the first 4 or 5 fights by button-mashing alone. There are times it's good. other times you may want a more challenging fighting game, like Tekken or soul calibur...they all are fun, but i would say that this series is the least taxing.
The quick turn around and responce to my winning the bid and the smooth transaction.I was contacted after the auction ended made my pay-pal payment and the deal was done . it doesn't get any better then that.
I like the training mode and in the quest mode their is a edit place where you edit the clothes and name. I love editing the clothes. I decided to this game because saw it the internet.
VF4 is an incredible fighting game, but it's so difficult. The movesets are made so a player can't button-mash and expect to win, and every character feels completely different. It's frustrating for me, who likes to unlock everthing for every character in fighting games, because it takes so long to get good enough with a character to play through the game and unlock stuff.
However, the game's still so much fun! I love the mode which simulates you going to arcades in Japan and the character customizing is still unmatched in any fighting (I think, but I have high hopes for Tekken 6 in this area). The animation is fluid and the graphics are great, although I think the characters are a bit bland. Good thing for the customizing.
This is the game for the hardcore fight gamers. I was never able to get any of my friends into this; fortunately, the singleplayer modes are fulfilling enough. If you plan on getting this, prepare for a huge learning curve...for each character.
