When I bought the Xbox 360, I thought I was only getting a game console, I was so wrong. The 360 has so many different functionalities, the $399 price tag seems like a bargain. No matter if you are a kid or an adult; this machine can be used by everybody! I know the review is lengthy, but I hope it gives you total confidence in purchasing a Xbox 360.
First off, lets talk about the main function of the 360, playing next generation video games. The graphics for the launch titles so far are spectacular, and as is usually the case with game consoles, the longer the console is out, the better the graphics get. On the other hand, the game content is not much different from what is being made for the original Xbox and PS2, so here is hoping someone develops a revolutionary game that is truly next gen.
Second, the Xbox 360 gives you access to Xbox Live, the premiere online gaming experience in the world. Besides being able to play your favorite games against people from around the world, Microsoft has added a fantastic new feature to Xbox Live called the Xbox Live Arcade. The arcade gives you the choice of downloading, for a small fee, outstanding 2D and 3D games. These games are perfect for people who do not want to play long 40 hour games, and just want a 15 minute gaming fix. When you download these games, they are saved to your hard drive, which comes with the premium system. Other new content that is downloadable via box Live are movie trailers, game demos, and music (slowly being introduced).
The 360 can also play DVD's, which it plays with outstanding quality. The 360 is hands down the best DVD player I have owned. Plus if you have an HDTV, you movie experience will be unrivaled.
Next up is my favorite functionality, the ability to store & play music on the 360. With over 20GB of space, the 360 hard drive can hold a lot of music, and basically all you have to do to get that music is pop in one of your CD's and rip the songs you like. Currently I have about 6 GB of music alone on my hard drive. But the music experience does not stop there. If you do not have the time to rip tons CD's or have all of you music on your PC, the 360's wireless adapter is just for you. What the adapter allows you to do is stream music from your PC directly onto your 360 and out though your TV. So that 60GB of music waiting to be played on your computer is only a few clicks away. (Please note that to use the wireless adapter you have to have a wireless network set up in your home.)
Like to take photos of family and friends? Well the Xbox 360 can help you manage those pictures because you can store them on the hard drive. Once on the hard drive you can create different albums and slideshows. This is a great functionality for those who have tons of bulky photo albums lying around. But what if you have all of your photos on the PC you might ask? No problem, the 360's wireless adapter can stream all of your slideshows right to the TV.

Things to think about before buying one!
INTRODUCTION:
Xbox 360 System is an exciting system, by Microsoft Corporation, introduced in 2005. It offers various uses, for example: Play loaded Mp3's, videos, Dvd's, and video game (Xbox and Xbox 360 games. The system itself is online enabled to play people worldwide.
Costs:
Xbox 360 System is pricy to own. It already starts off with the price tag of a few hundred dollars. The games are excellent, but still costs around $50 bucks a game. To enable the Xbox to be wireless, that will put you in with an extra $100 in costs alone. You, as the potential buyer, will need an High Definition(HD) Television if you expect to use the full potential of the Xbox 360 system. That will start you with a $500 dollar price tag. The controllers for the Xbox 360 are offered in wireless and wired, which ranges in prices from $30-$50 bucks. If you just buy the core system, you'll need to buy an extra hard drive designed for the 360 system in order to be able to save games. No one likes to start from the beginning of the game each time they play. Premium package already offer a hard drive built in the system. HD cables will be needed to be bought for HD televisions if you as the potential buyer only plan on buying the core system. You might as well just buy the premium package since it is only $100 more and is a better deal.
CAUTION/WARNING:
Microsoft XBox 360 systems tend to overheat, so keep it in an environment that is 76 degrees Farenheit or colder, or it will overheat in only a few months. The system often freezes during games. That is a big pain to any player whether they are an expert of an average Joe player. The system should not be tilted during game play, or the disk will be cracked in half due to the fast speed the disk itself spins. The power often goes on and off. Sometimes the 360 will not power on at all and will just show a blinking red light where the green power light should be. That's not cool either.
CONCLUSION:
I give this system a 4/5 ranking. It is not anything outstanding compared to the Sony's Playstation 3, but it is above average. Due to the flukes and flaw with the system, the rank will not receive a 5/5 by my books. The games are too high in costs and there are too many extra costs that are needed in order to fully use the Microsoft Xbox 360 to its fullest potential.

We love the system. The extras, the communication of the seller, and the good description encouraged us to buy this item rather than buy a new one in a store. Awesome!I bought the Xbox about a month and a half ago. It came with a controller, a headset, and all the cords. It looks and works great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my 360, still faithfully running from day one.I love my 360, it has awesome features and a truly epic game base. I have logged MANY hours playing it, a lot of which were put on during "gaming marathons"...lol. I haven't had a single problem with it. I bought these broken ones to become more familiar with the "guts" without the risk of "bricking" my baby. I have brought most of them back to life without much effort, so even the problems they've had aren't as terrible as naysayers would have you beleive. Microsoft also takes good care of the customers who were smart enough not to "tinker" around inside their Xbox for no reason (or an evil reason...lol) thus voiding the warranty. Mine has been running ever since I bought it a month after the original release date and has done so faithfully, so all in all, I am satisfied.

xbox 360 premiumOn the description it said that this was an xbox 360 premium edition in "excellent working condition" turns out it was premium crap, along with the seller. I bought it and it didnt work so i sent it in to microsoft and they said that they couldnt fix it because it had been "tampered with". Obviously this seller is just selling junk xboxs and trying to screw you out of your money. DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM YIVICTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Xbox was a gift. After only having it for a few days, it malfunctioned. I bidded on a New Xbox and I wondered why it broke in such a short period of time. I contacted the seller and I was told to ship it to Microsoft for a replacement. After doing so, I was told my the seller that Microsoft would send me a different unit. They did not. I was sent the same unit only repaired.
My nephew is happy now.
Just be sure that when you are bidding on a "New" item, make sure that it is.

Fast delivery, everything came as described. But for some reason I can't use a wireless controller with my Xbox. I wrote a couple of emails to the seller and haven't got a response from them. I don't mind using a wired controller, but it bugs me after a couple of months I still haven't got a reply yet.

One of the biggest questions in the video gaming world today is: Which is better? The Xbox 360 or the PS3? I own both, and I will let you know the low-down on them.
I will give you a few important aspects to both consoles:
Graphics: To tell you the truth, there is not much difference between the two graphics. Microsoft's ATI Graphics and Sony's Nvidia Graphics both match up to be about the same. Die-hard fans will always say that the system they love has better graphics, but after all of that technical nonsense, they are about the same.
Memory: The PS3 wins in this category. You can buy them in 20, 60, or 80GB models. The Xbox 360 Premium only has the choice of 20GB, but the Xbox Elite has 120GB.
Game Selection: Up until now, the Xbox is winning in this category. It has been out longer, which means a much larger variety of games. They also have games down to $20 and $30 because they have been out for awhile. The PS3 has games at $40+, but it does have some very unique games that you can only play on it. These include: MLB The Show, Haze, Jack & Daxter, and many others.
Look/Sound: I would have to say that the PS3 wins in this category as well. The shiny black with chrome trim looks amazing, while the Xbox is a mere white box. The PS3 also makes a lot less noise than the 360.
Controller: The Xbox wins by a longshot in this category. The controller for Xbox is a lot more comfortable and easy to use. You never get hand cramps, and it just feels normal to have it in your hand. The PS3 controller doesn't feel all that bad, but it is nowhere near the comfort of Xbox's controller.
Life: The PS3 wins this category. There have been rare problems with system failure. With the 360, there can be sever heating (the three red rings will happen), and your system won't work anymroe. Also, if your Xbox is tipped a little while in the verticle position, the game can be scratched to pieces. Believe me, I've had it happen.
Online: Although both are fun to play on, the Xbox is a far leader. Xbox Live is the most amazing online gaming service that I have ever seen. The messaging, freinds lists, videos, tv shows, demos, achievements and everything else are amazing. I've heard rumors about a PS3 home, however, and that it is supposed to be better than Live. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
So which system would I choose? To tell the truch, I like both. They're both packed with everything you need in a gaming system, and I'm sure you will have a blast with either of them. I would suggest getting the system that your friends have, so you can have fun playing with them online. Also, if you've had an Xbox before, don't be afraid to try out the PS3. That also means that if you've always had a Playstation, don't be afraid to switch over to Xbox.

Xbox 360 premiumI bought this system for my son's birthday. He just received it recently and I haven't seen him since. I think this was an excellent purchase and an excellent value. It arrived when promised and works beautifully. I cannot thank you enough as I saved about $150.00 over a new system. Of course, I have spent even more than that on games and peripherals! I would not hesitate to buy from this seller again.

Worst Ebayer Ever.Watch out for this guy. I bought this 360 off of him. The action said it was as is, then continued on to make it sound like it broke of natural wear. It also said he was unable to check the 360s for there conditions. This is a bull. The 360 I received had not only already been worked on.(Very apparently by someone who doesn't know what there doing.) There were screws missing from multiple parts. And while attempting to fix it he slipped and scratched the motherboard ruining it. To top all of this off I opened the dvd drive to see it completely vandalized, two different gears were ripped off and lying inside, the band was also missing. This is the worst seller I've ever dealt with and a disgrace to sellers alike. Unfortunately for me I ordered 3 off of this guy.. This is the first one to come in, I can just imagine the next 2.... Do yourself a favor and pass by any auction this guy has.

I like the fact that you can stream your music, videos, and photos, from your computer to it. I also love the fact that there are numerous titles for the system and the three year warranty they offer. I also love the fact that it has awesome online gameplay in game i.e halo 3 crackdown, call of duty 4. I decided to buy this system because it's predecessor "xbox" was a great system. There are a few thing i do dislike about the system seeing that the wireless adapter for the system only works for the 360 and 360 only. I dislike that the 360 gets hot and it's failure rate with the rrod but that's what the warranty is for but that gets annoying when you have to keep taking back to microsoft.

Xbox 360 Black screen of deathThis one had the black screen of death...with you turned on the game it was sound but no picture and white dots all over the screen...the rings were all green and seemed to be running fine...I found out something about X clamps inside the system...

what is there not to like. this is the first game console which I bought for me and not the kids. We have a Wii, the playstation 3, the old Xbox and this is by far the best. the XXBox live feature is amazing - being able to play other people is fantastic.
Of course I still suck at the games and my 7 year old kid beats me every time - but what the hell, its fun and i can figure out how to use it which is a bonus
