We are just finishing with Saxon 8/7 and are moving on to Saxon Algebra 1/2. Looking over the book, we are impressed with how well comcepts are explained. I encourage anyone who homeschools to take a good look at this surriculum.
Saxon is wonderful for students who need a bit more explaining or support in math concepts.

I am sure I would have been fine with the textbook in which I was bidding and won. I received however, the Answer booklet, so it is hard to rate this positively when I didn't receive the right item.

Algebra 1/2 by John Saxon (2003)I owned a copy of this book...loaned it out and never got it back. I really needed it to work with students! I was delighted to find it on eBay...even more delighted that I won the bid. It was my good fortune. Thanks to eBay. Dr. Hughes

Son is motivated by the DIVE CD instruction that tells him when to do practice problems with the teacher & independently. Constant review on a lesson by lesson basis which elliminates the need for test review or pre-standardize test prep. Each question has number of lesson next to it so student can go back for instruction if having trouble with a particular topic. Also, back of book has practice problems for each concept taught. Best value for teaching and great resale too.
