This is the best book of the series!!!
Review created: 08/30/08

Of course there are elements of the story that I am curious about, like did Harry and Hermione actually camp out for weeks without Ron, and never 'get it on?' As hormonally driven as 17 year olds are, how realistic is that? When it came to the final showdown, the loyalty of these wizards and witches to their respective causes was extremely believable. Why did Hedwig have to die, not to mention all the others? I owned and read all the series in book form, but have enjoyed hearing them read. With the influx of characters that book five gave us, I wanted to reread the book before the movie came out. Hearing it on tape was great, and faster than if I read it on my own. I hope to hear book 6 and 7 before the release of those movies.

Never received this product after purchasing it. Seller says that it was sent- asked him/her to send me the tracking number. No response to my e-mails now in 3 weeks. How do I get my money back? How do I report this person?
I had to go out and purchase the CD's in order to get them to my daughter for graduation. Looking forward to your response.

The final chapter of the Harry Potter series ended with a bang. I wish that there was going to be more stories about Harry and his friends but oh well. This is a great story and I enjoyed listening to it in my car.

  Riveting!
Review created: 03/15/08

The narrator for this series is superb! He is a master of variation in voice and tone and fluidly moves from one characterization to the next.

I listen to the tape to and from work in my car and occasionally to get through mundane tasks at home and work - It's great!

The story is very intriguing and it's a lot of fun just being read to. Definitely recommended!

Harry potter and the deathly hallows audio
Review created: 03/07/08

Any fan of Harry Potter needs to listen to this audio book. Audio books were ogrinaly invented for the blind, however now it is fun for the whole family. Jim Dale will surprise you with his preformance of all of the harry potter charaters. It is excellent for rode trips or just lazy Saturday afternoons around the house. Once you purchase this volume of the harry potter audo book you will want to buy them all. So do not miss out on buying this great audio book.

GREAT BOOK SAD TO END SERIES
Review created: 02/10/08

I loved the whole series and am very glad I read them JK Rowling is a great author and I thank her for such a great ride! If you havn't become a Harry Potter fan I invite you to come and join a great journey into your imagination. It is a great escape from the real life. You get to root for good over evil and feel the pain and joy over the experience. The only bad part of the whole series is it had to end.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I bought this on cassette so I could listen to it on my way to work. My car does not have a CD player, besides I do not like books on CD because it is too hard to find where you left off. I adore Jim Dale's readings of the Potter books! The price was better than retail, of course. Highly recommended purchase.

  Best of the Best

I don't think I ever waited on Christmas like I did for this book and Rowling did not disappoint me.

Deathly Hollows picks up right where The Half Blood Prince left off and Rowling doesn't miss a beat.

Our three favorite heroes know what they have to do but only have a few obscure clues to work from. They must find their own solutions on how to accomplish their misson. While this is a theme common in the other 6 books, this time there is no safety net provided by the adults. The fate of the world rests on their shoulders alone.

As they go from one adventure to the next, gaining (at first) seemingly useless information and narrowly avoiding death, they slowly piece together how everything must fit together. Even then Rowling is not yet done: the solution itself is a test, and the hardest challenge Harry ever had to take.

The book is dark and bloody, more so than The Order of the Pheonix. In case the reader had any doubt about that, Voldermort sets it straight in the very first chapter. The body count continues to go up and Rowling gives no indication of playing favorites. Nobody, and I mean nobody, is safe until the last spell is cast, somewhere in the last 10 pages or so.

While it was sad seeing so many characters I had grown attached to die, I did not have the same sense of dispair that I did with Pheonix. I never doubted for one page that good would win in the end and I could take comfort in that their sacrafices would not be in vain.

While I sincerly hope that Ms. Rowling will continue to write, I believe it is time for a new series. Harry Potter was as close to perfection as I'm likely to see in this world. I don't want that delicate balance upset.

  No Book 7 Spoilers

Well, to those would-be spoilers, thanks for TRYING to ruin it for everyone. I doubt anyone will believe that you've actually READ the book everyone's waiting for.

Some people have no desire to hear theories or potential spoilers about book 7, and shame on you for trying to throw them out there where people might read them when they don't want to. There is a proper place for such discussion - like the ebook about Deathly Hallows that I am selling.

One thing is for certain, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is going to be amazing, action-packed, and heart-breaking all at the same time. I can't wait - mine's already pre-ordered, is yours?
