The Lake House by James Patterson (2003)

James Patterson is an awsome writer and most of his audiobooks I have listened tyo have been outstanding, however, Lake House was not one of my favorites, even though it was a fantasy work, it did not have well worked chapters. A unmarried couple is given custody of five bird kids after, leaving them in apartment, encouraging them to lie to the parent about their where abouts , even after they had already lost one custody battle prior for each child from the natural parents. They went to a hospital lower level where hideous goings ons were happening, the children shot at , people killed, but no one believed the story and a judge will deem them the finest of parents.

Loved this sequel to When The Wind Blows. Very entertaining; excellent reading (has two readers and they are both very good - especially the male voice); and a great ending to the series. They even used music in some parts to add to the mood of the scene. I know James Patterson is a famous author but he's new to me and I can't wait to read more. I bought the audiobook because the synopsis of the story sounded intriguing, and it lived up to my impression. If you're looking for entertainment I think you'll enjoy this one very much..... This is the continuation of the first book 'When The Wind Blows'. I thought it was a pretty good sequel book. Being it was in audio format I was able to listen to it on the way back from Florida to CT with only a few interuptions for pitt stops. I would recommend this to an adult audience over the age of 16 as there is a lot of violence and sexual content in it. Al in all, I would rate it and 8 out of a 10.
