This was my favorite ALBUM in the early 70's. It is great to have it on CD to enjoy today. The songs have held their meaning, and are sure to stimulate thought.
If you expect every song to sound like the bold instrumental Classical Gas, you will be disappointed. If you want to hear Mason Williams sing on great, kind of mellow roots-rock, tracks with C.G. exploding in the middle, you may be amazed at this overlooked 'treasure in 29 minutes.' I bought the cassette in about '72 and played it until I couldn't splice it anymore. I'm buying the CD right now!
I love Classical Gas song, but the rest of his songs are not to my liking. I hope people can remember when he first came out. The only song on the 33 1/3 record that I liked was classical gas. I wish he had more to listen to. Rowdy
