Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (game only) (Playstation 2)

Overall this game receives about a 6/10. Let's break it down...

Graphics - 6/10
Come on...I can see bumpers smashing in racing games, more blood than I care to see in shooter games, and even chocolate bubbling in the pond in a children's game... and I can't get better graphics than this for my favorite XBox 360 game? Better luck on Guitar Hero 4. The one improvement I have enjoyed is the better display hud (your score).

Sound – 10/10
Some of the songs aren't the greatest sound quality (like Boston) but the sound is as good as Guitar Hero predecessors. Overall the track list was top notch. I'd love to see some more popular songs for some of my less savvy classic rock friends, but overall the music is great and will keep you rocking all night long.

Overall - 9/10
Judging this game against Guitar Hero 1 and 2, it is a better game and worthy of a sequel. However, judging it against the new Rock Band... it loses some appeal because Rock Band offers more options for more people (mic and drums). If you're looking for a game that will give you awesome songs, lots of fun for all skill levels, and a 4-player mode, you should go with Rock Band. (note: the Rock Band guitar sucks so you'll want to use a Guitar Hero guitar)

The new wireless Gibson guitar that comes in the Guitar Hero 3 package is a must have. It's a little easier to hold than previous guitars, I think the buttons are slightly easier to use, and although I thought being wireless might affect some play I can't notice any lag or difficulties.

Excellent game... looking forward to a sequel.

My husband loves it but they don't give any feedback I gave them feed back weeks ago and asked for my feedback and they havn't done so. They do ship fast but other then that I wioll not buy fron again due to no feedback from them.

I have seen better games in the past . thank you PS2. Half of the screen is just color buttons and lines.

this game rocks! maybe i'm too lazy to learn to play the real guitar, but the instant satsification from hitting 95% of the notes on any song is killer.

This is a good game if you like the Guitar Hero Franchise, which I do. The games get better and better. It could still be a little better but for the most part it is fun and if you like music you will dig this game. You know have some celebrity guitar players in this game which is cool because you get to battle them and then play one of thier big songs. Basically if you like Guitar Hero you will love Guitar Hero 3.

Solid overall game,as enjoyable as previous versions.Biggest songlist to date,but to me,many were sub-par for a game billed as "Legends of Rock!!".Nice difficulty balance. "Raining Blood" by Slayer an insane challenge at higher settings!!

Absolutely love this game. Lots of different songs.A very good variety.Bought it because it was a great price.Now waiting for new ones to come out.

Pretty good game, harder than the 1st one, havent played the 2nd yet, overall a good game. Really like the first game, so figured Id try this one, let down a lil, was hoping for some more modern songs.

This is a great game. Very addictive. I bought it for my son, but once I tried it I was hooked. The music is great, nice variety. This is fun for all age. With the differant skill levels it has something for everyone.

we never received it. we tried to talk to the seller but he failed to reply when we asked about the receipt of the money order. now we look bad when he never even looked into finding the money order there, as far as we know. this is very frustrating. i won't use a money order again. we are out the money now....it cost as much to stop payment on it so we'll never see it. makes me not want to buy from ebay again

My kids love the songs, and it's one's I recognize. They have fun playing this game. Personally, I'm surprized that the graphics of the people aren't more realistic. WHere as other games are more up to date. But as far as playing with the music and the songs that are on the game, it's great.
