How do you explain to a two and a half year old what bones are? You can't really show them their bones, so that's when I turn to library books to help show my son what bones are. One of the books we brought home was You Can't See Your Bones With Binoculars: A Guide to Your 206 Bones The book, written by Harriet Ziefert has the lyrics to Dem Bones written across the top, telling us about the connections between the bones, starting with the head bone down to the toe bone, and then also having the arm connected to the wrist bone.
