I did not order this CD. Nor would I want this CD. This has been a very unsettling struggle for me with ebay. Thankfully the CD never arrived at my home address and I never got charged for it, because I never ordered it. I wish ebay would stop sending me e-mails about it being on my profile. Please remove. Thank you.

some of the best music youve probably not heard. one of def's best. its different than most lep music, but stands on its own as some great music.

"X" is, without question, THE album for Lep connoisseurs. This isn't a "softer" Def Leppard at all, but a showcase of their growth as artists and as a band. "X" isn't as experimental as the "Slang" album was, but it contains some monster songs you just can't get out of your head from the first time you hear them.
Tracks include:

2. Unbelievable
3. You're So Beautiful
4. Every Day
5. Long, Long Way To Go
6. Four Letter Word
7. Torn To Shreds
8. Love Don't Lie
9. Gravity
10. Cry
11. Girl Like You
12. Let Me Be The One
13. Scar
The Leps' trademark melodic rock sound is better than ever on this release. "Gravity" and "Cry" are the traditional hard-rock contributions to the release, while songs like "You're So Beautiful" and "Let Me Be The One" were ... well, to be honest, they were written especially for me. (At least I like to think so.) "X" also contains the ultimate ballad, "Long, Long Way To Go" that a lot of folks are only just now discovering, thanks to YouTube, MySpace, et al. If the label would have promoted this album properly in the U.S., LLWTG would have been a HUGE hit for the Leps.
Whether it hit #1 on the charts or not, "X" is a true showcase of the talents, strengths and growth of an extraordinarily talented and tight group of musicians. Unless the only Lep song you ever loved was "Pour Some Sugar On Me," this is a MUST HAVE album. I keep it in my car so I can listen to it every day.

Anyone who likes Def leppard will love this cd. Def Leppard matured as did their music.Slower not heavy metal just good rock!!

I PURCHASED THIS CD BECAUSE I AM A DEF LEPPARD FAN AND HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS AND DIDN'T HAVE THIS CD IN MY COLLECTION. AS USUALL IT IS ANOTHER GREAT CD!!!!

Lyrically, brilliant, but falls short of what this band has been capable of doing for years.
Like Slang, this album departs from their trademark sound. However, unlike Slang, I spent most of the time skipping tracks. It's mostly mid-tempo and sounds the same. Their are a few high spots and some great ballads, but the songs are greater than their whole.
The album sounds too much the same and doesn't inspire me to play it. Unlike Retroactive or even Euphoria, X doesn't get a lot of play from me. Do I hate it, no. Would I recommend it? Only to die hard Lep fans.
