This cookbook has practical advice on every aspect of food preparation and is illustrated to make following correct procedures and techniques simple as well as safe. My granddaughter, age 10, has served wholesome, nutritious and beautifully prepared meals for the family. My daughter finds that the recipes are not the usual sweet treat and finger food fare so often presented in a children's cookbook--and has used the simple recipes herself. This is an excellent first cookbook to foster a genuine love for the art of cooking.
Works really well for the 9 and over age group. My daughter, who is 12, prepared a 3-course meal for her middle school cooking project, and loves the book!
This book had great ideas. but was hard for my class at school to do. I was running around helping with them. I let them choose a recipe from the book, and it was a disaster.
Great pictures of food were found in the book, but the recipes were a little hard for my eight year-old. I was hoping for simple recipes my daughter could do with a little supervision.
