The actors are at their best,, so raw and wonderful, long before the pirates!!!LOL and the Titanic, you see what brilliant actors these to young men are. Everyone in this movie is great (Julitte Lewis), the story is wonderful, it's a must to keep in your library of movies if you're a collector and a fan. Don't say your a Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio fan if you don't own this movie, leo is so cute in this and Johnny is a wonderful care taker.

) I bought this movie because I am a Johnny Depp fan. Much to my happiness, the film was so enjoyable. Johnny Depp's portrayal of Gilbert Grape stole my heart. Also, Leonardo Dicaprio was fabulous as Gilbert's mentally challenged brother.
