This book help me out when my son was born, there were questions that I had and the book had the answers. It help me out when I couldnt reach the doctor. I wouldnt just relie on this one book, there is always two sides to every story. But this is a great book to start out with and is very informative. This book does each month and lets you know what to expect your child could be doing for that peticular month. It also has first aid information in back. And a shot record and weight chart in the back. This book would be great for any first time mom as a gift. If she doesnt already have it.
I really enjoyed this book and in fact read it with both my kids-as they went through the stages in the book. It really helped with questions and concerns that came up along the way. I would recommend this book to any mom.
I purchased this book because I am a first time mom and I am not always exactly sure of everything I need to know. I had the first book in this series while I was pregnant, and I definitely enjoy the follow up. The sender sent it very quickly and I had no problems receiving it. Thank you so much, it has been a very helpful tool.
This book is an incredible resource. A must have for anybody expecting or just having had a child!! The included topics are on any subjsct that you could think of and many more that you never thought of...sometimes giving you more detail than you wanted...you choose how in depth you want yo go. I loved this book and refered to it often when my son was small. It arms you with valuable info that you need to cope with a new little person in the family. How to feed them, how to dress them for different conditions, when to take them to the Doctor, how to bathe and potty train...wonderful.
This book is very informative, which is why I purchased it. It explains everything I needed to know about each month of my daughters first year. I love this sequel to the first book about pregnancy.
From What to Eat When You're Expecting, What to Expect When You're Expecting... What to Expect the First Year had to be a superb read. This book has valuable information for any parent. Whether you are a new mom, dad, grandparent or adopted parent or a veteran parent; this book is for you. It is broken down into easy to find categories & stages. And answers many questions & concerns any parent may have. I still refer to it often especially if my baby is sick and I am not sure what is considered 'normal'. This book is a staple on my book shelf! Makes a great gift, too.

This is a classic resource for new and veteran moms alike. My original copy was packed away in storage somewhere and it was worth having duplicate copies in order to access all the info packed into this book!
Covers all the major & minor questions that are involved with a newborn in a easy to read format. I would recommend this book to all parents and to be parents. Also, recommend whattoexpect.com webiste which is from one of the co-authors of this book.
I got "What to expect while Expecting" and I that book answered a lot of my questions. So I bought this book, because I have so many questions about my newborn that I hate asking other people. Now, I can just look it up.
EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PURCHASE WAS WONDERFUL. GREAT COMMUNICATION, FAST DELIVERY, AND THE BOOK WAS IN GREAT CONDITTION. I WOULD RECOMEND THIS SELLER TO ANYONE.
My wife liked all the info and found it easy to find answers to her questions. gives a nice month by month account of what your baby should be doing so you know if everything is on track or if maybe you should have concerns mostly you look and find that everything is normal and thats nice
This book is highly informative for any woman going through her first pregnancy as well as any following her first! It is a great reference book on what is happening in each stage of a child's first year. Each child being different, I found this book to be a great resource book on all my questions! I have used this book for myself as well as giving this book at baby showers many times! The series is wonderful also - "What to expect while your expecting" is the book that made me want to buy this one. I give them as a duo often to those expecting their first child and recommend them as often as I can due to their vast amount of information to ease the parents minds of all those 'things' that can be scary, confusing and that cause more questions - in the minds of parents - it is especially helpful to those who question whether a doctor should be called - and those times when you just don't know what to do or if behaviors are 'normal' or not...
The book is great when it comes to answering questions about different stages. My husband and I are new parents and it has been a big help on what to expect. I have even been able to get her on a sleeping schedule. It has been great and I highly reccommend it.
I love the fact that the seller had good communication was VERY honest about the condition of the book. They answered all my questions and made it very easy to feel good about the purchase. The book is very informational about what your baby will or could be doing. It give suggestions on what to do for almost any situation. Great book for a first time parent. Highly recommended.
I like this book, because it tells me when I should be inroducing new foods, what milestones should be hit when, etc.. If only I could find time to read it with an infant!
I loved "What to Expect when You're Expecting" so naturally I decided to try this sequel. I'm only into the 3rd month since my baby is only 2 1/2 months, but so far it is good. I wouldn't say it's quite as good as "What to Expect when You're Expecting," but again, I'm only 1/4 of the way through it.
I like how the " What to Expect..." series breaks down their books by month. They can be easily read and understood. I wish that the book offered more information on the specific physical growth or patterns of babies each month.
I have noted that they are very careful to defer to the parents preference and physicians recommendations for most topics. There is quite a bit of the " on one hand you could do this and on the other hand you can do this..." the authors do not offer much in the way of bottom lines.
I received this book in the hospital after the birth of my son. It came in so handy so many times being a new mom. The info on fevers, and what kinds of stages of development to expect from my child were all laid out in a nice easy way. Hiving this book as a reference point saved me from rushing my son to the emergency room when it was not necessary. I was so worried when any little thing would happen with my child and this book helped me determine when it was something common that I could get through at home and when it was something unusual and imperative that I seek care from a doctore. I feel this book helped me so much I buy it for any close friend that is expecting a first child, in fact I just bought this book for my older sister who is now expecting her first child.
I bought the book "What to expect when you're expecting" for my daughter-in-law and son ,who are expecting their first baby. When I saw this one, I knew I had to get this one for them also. They love the first book, and are sharing information from both books. They are anxious and excited and reading the books really covers alot of questions and worries they have. The price was fantastic and the condition of the book was excellent!
The book is very informative and can answer many questions. This book has prevented me from calling my doctors about small questions. This book helps you to keep track of your baby's milestones on a month to month basis. I love reading the milestone and then compare them to my baby and see how advanced or not advanced he is. I would recommend this book to any new parent.
Great Book. Very informative. Lot's of valuable information. I bought this for my son and my daughter-in-law for their first child, my first grandchild. They read more of it than I did and they say it is helping them immensely.
I bought this book for a friend of mine because she's expecting (for the first time), but someone else purchased it for her while I was waiting for it to come in! I guess great minds think alike. :) It won't go to waste though, it'll be on my bookshelf for future use or gift giving. I had this book with my son and just found it to be invaluable (I wished I had it with my daughter). I love that just about any question I could think of is in this book and the information is very easy to read, not to mention practical. I can't really think of any dislikes, but I think parenting is all subjective to the person doing it. You might want to read a couple of the topics to make sure it's the right fit for you, however I don't think you'll be disappointed.
