This book really gets down to the basics about diet and our health. Don't let the title fool you, this book is not preachy. It's common sense based on solid research about our bodies and how they are meant to function. The book discusses the rapid deterioration of the general health of society based on our eating habits and why we should stop and think about what we are consuming. I HIGHLY recommend this book. It's an extremely easy read and I intend to read it more than once.
All in all very good way to change your eating habits and life style. We wanted to eat more grains, fruits, and veggies and less meats and junk foods. It's not so easy - even with this book.
My husband told me about this book because I teach Diet and Natural Healing. He said it goes along with the type of eating I recommend. As I teach I tell people that this is a Wonderful book and suggest they purchase it. I really like how the Author explains why we should eat these foods, but this is not just about diet it goes much deeper. It is about over all good health. There are some things that I did not agree with but I work with A lot of people who are sick and looking for relief from an illness, who's body's are in a crisis situation where there food intake must be more stick then the average person because they have abused their bodies so much. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
God gave us laws on what to eat and what not to eat.. For most of us , finding it all in one place, in the BIBLE is not that easy.I bought the book for the same reason that I mention here. I had a hard time finding all the laws in one place. This book breaks down all the areas in the BIBLE that speak of food and what we should and shouldn't eat.I have no dislikes about this book but I do wish the author had added more recipes . Since reading this book, I have changed my way of eating . I have incorporated more grains such as wheat( non Processed) more fish of clean nature..and stayed away from meat unless it was goat or lamb..The book talks about the problem with red meat and why pork is still an issue , even in todays society..The consumption of veges is also mentioned in this book and it also talk about the health benefits of wine..The book has a section on milks/cheeses and spices and also an excellent exercise chapter and recipes.If you really want to get yourself in better health, read this book and Do What Jesus Did..It worked for me without having to use all the sordid diet fads out there.. This is not a diet book but a Lifestyle change. I Hope and Pray that this book will help you in your quest for better health. To me , its the only way to go.I have never felt better..
