We Are Marshall (2007, DVD)

Unlike a lot of sports movies, it doesn’t end with a championship or a great upset over a powerhouse. The real victory on the Marshall campus was in fielding a team that honored and respected the legacy of the 1970 team.

Excellent, heart warming, family oriented movie!!!!!! I remember when this tragedy happened and was looking forward to seeing the movie. Wonderful for all ages to see.

I bought this dvd We are Marshall for my husband a few weeks ago and he just absolutely loves this movie, it is his favorite movie of all times, i highly recommend this even if you don't like football!! Highly recommended!

I liked the determination of the new coach to form a new team, insisting on
the remaining team members to be involved, his wisdom and comic attitude was
awesome...
Tragic event but an awesome re-build of a community and team spirit!!

This is a great football movie but also deals with over coming a loss. All the actors are great in their parts. This movie is good for the whole family to watch.

Our family loved this movie. We are pretty particular about the movies we watch and check pluggedinonline.com before watching most movies. This one got a good rating and after watching it we purchased it the next day. We will watch this one several times. Very little swearing or other negative elements. Incredible true story and great acting make this a must see for any family, even those that do not love football.

I saw the movie in a theatre and being a football fan (and referee), I decided to buy it. This was one of those movies I call a "keeper" and when it came out for home viewing, I decided to get one. A lot of stores did not have this movie in stock, and the ones that did--it was less expensive (including shipping) to buy it on e-bay. As "sports movies" go--this could be one, but I felt this was more of a human movie that a non-sports fan would enjoy.

I bought this movie because I really liked it but I did not recieve this copy I do not know if my post office lost it or where it went.

I really like the movie since it was based on a true story about the football team from marshall no dislikes every sports nut should see this movie

awsome movie my husband loved it. The message this movie gives is one of hope after extreme loss. it is a movie about how even in great tragedy you can come back not forgetting those that have been lost, but honoring their memories by going on and becoming the best you can be.

Bought it as a gift for my parents after watching it. Thought it would be a great gift for WV residents. I knew they'd enjoy it. The movie is very well done and is touching.

excellent movie of a true story...bought it mainly for my husband b/c he loves football & he really liked it & I enjoyed it as well...wanted to go to the movies to see so just decided to buy...was worth the money & then some.

What a devastating accident in the mid 1907s. This film brings to life that tragedy, but also adds the human element of faith, caring, and the American way. This is a film worth watching, one that will make you think about values.

This story shows compassion for all the people effected. Though sad in places it shows the reality of life and spirit. Will watch this story again and again.
True life events can be a learning experience, learn from others. Monies well spent buying this story!

I liked the story about it, it was a really good movie about a town and a coach. It was moving and even I am not a football fan but I just really got into this movie it was well played and life like. I bought it so I could share it with my friends and family. It is family oriented.

This is a excellent football movie and every football fan should take the time to view this one. A little slow at times, but most of the time it is right on target and hits the heart.

This was such a awesome movie that I bought this one to ship to my son in Iraq.The soldiers share their DVD'S with others and this movie shows what faith and teamwork combined can do when you live through a very tragic time.

Our soldiers need to know that people in the states support them and have not forgot them and we need to send goody boxes filled with things from home for them to enjoy while they are gone.
Hopefully this DVD will be passed around a lot and they will be able to have a little bit of enjoyment while as the poem says" I've got your back"

For anyone who remembers this tragedy, this was a wonderful and uplifting portrayal of the perserverance and the hope one small town had at this devastating time in their history.
The acting and casting of the film was marvelous with everyone putting their best effort into it. The costume department deserves a big hand for staying accurate to the time period.
We see a huge tragedy that could have destroyed almost every person in Marshall but instead they rallied around themselves and supported each other in a dream that was bigger than any one person.
If you haven't seen this one, get to your video store today because you are missing one of the best movies in a long time.
Hollywood is on the right track with more family-friendly viewing. There are some words which may offend but should not keep even the most conservative of us from watching.
Great job and a big thank you to the people of this small town who helped in describing and sharing their memories of this time in their lives for the rest of the world to understand and take strength from.

What can I say, "tis the season to be shoppin," and that is exactly reason for this purchas. Of course I watched the movie after recieving it to see what condition it was in and "suprise" "suprise" I ended up liking a movie I wouldn't normally watch. It was in perfect condition, though I was a little suprised it came with a slip cover, not that I'm complaining, that actully came to be useful. No real complaints.
