1999 s Violator: The Album had all the potential to be a blockbuster Hip-Hop release. The brainchild of the head of the Violator Management company, Chris Lighty, the compilation would feature the high-profile Hip-Hop personalities that the management powerhouse handled, such as LL Cool J, Mobb Deep, Busta Rhymes, and Big Pun. With some of the biggest names in the industry laying down tracks for this undertaking, it was inconceivable that this album could be anything other than amazing.
