I had never really sat down and watched a Veggie Tales movie before. Wow, I was amazed at how funny it was! It teaches great lessons, has adorable characters, and is great fun!!! (My five-year-old loved it too!)
This particular VeggieTale includes my all time favorite Silly Song with Larry, I Love My Lips. At one point the psychologist asks Larry how to spell a certain word, when it shows his notes, he is drawing pictures. Later he is trying to write so fast that his pencil starts smoking. I loved it! The story od Dave is also very good.
This movie is great way of teaching kids the biblical story of David and Goliath and how it relates to them. It teaches kids that they are special and little people in size and/or age are important. A great movie you can let your kids watch without being afraid of the content. Also, great is the silly song "I Love my Lips."
In this episode we are introduced to the first appearance by Larry the Cucumber's alter ego, LARRY BOY!
Larry is feeling kinda sad because he thinks plain ol' Larry isn't very special at all... so his buddy Bob the Tomato decides to tell Larry the story of David & Goliath - VeggieTales style.
Through the course of the story it is made evident that no matter how small you think you are in this world you are here for a specific purpose - and you are very special in God's eyes.
Your kids will love this movie and will feel good about themselves in knowing that they can do BIG things with God's help. It has several catchy songs - that even I find myself singing in the car sometimes. *PLUS* My favorite silly song of all-time is on this video -> I LOVE MY LIPS! Larry visits a shrink to talk about his obsession over his lips and his fear of loosing them.
