Hot, Sticky Sweet Rock Courtesy Of Def Leppard

Pros:
Well-produced rock represented the cream of the 1980's crop...
Cons:
Strange sequencing and bad "new" song...
British rockers are damn sexy, especially when they happen to wear tight jeans use inordinate amounts of Aqua Net and jump around a massive stage. Maybe that was my draw to Def Leppard back in the day. Actually in all fairness I was more a Bon Jovi girl than a Def Leppard girl but that never stopped me from enjoying just about every song the UK outfit released in the 1980 s. I wish I remembered who said it, but in an interview for a VH1 special a fellow rocker was quoted as saying that Def Leppard s music was as perfectly seamless as any of the era. And I do have to agree with that statement..

Diggin' In The Vault: The Best of Def Leppard

Pros:
All their big classic hits
Cons:
Some songs that really weren't that great
Did you ever jump around in your room doing air guitar to the infectious Pour Some Sugar On Me ? Did you ever have your heart broken and shed your tears of pain on your bed listening to Love Bites ? Did you love the blatant rebellion of Let s Get Rocked ? If you answered yes to these questions then you are going to love digging into The Vault, a compilation of all of Def Leppard s hits. When I picked up this album I honestly had forgotten how much fun I have had over the years listening to their music. Some of the older stuff is actually more in my sister s era but that music is good as well..

Pros:
Absolutely amazing rock from the kings of the 80's.
Cons:
Usually lumped in with other 80's hair metal bands.
Ladies and gentlemen the best of Def Leppard. I know what you re asking. Drew? You re reviewing a Def Leppard CD? Def Leppard? Yes, it s me, fan of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. I m coming out of the closet to say--I LOVE this band! I love the band, love the hits CD. Def Leppard was 80 s cheese metal at it s best. While Poison and Motley Crue--two groups who I, for the record, loathe--were dressing up as chicks and doing heroin, Def Leppard was making some really great stuff. It s cheesy, and the lyrics are corny, and they even say stuff like let s get let s get let s get let s get rocked, but...

It's All Here In The "Vault"!

Pros:
Great beats, voices, rhythms, words, all around real music!
Cons:
Nothing!
My other favorite group to ever come out. I can picture myself someday at seventy years old still rocking out to this band. And of course still being romantic with my significant other with Def Leppard's more slow romantic songs. Def Leppard is just one of the groups that can do it all. They have songs perfect for parties to keep it live, songs you just play in the car on long drives relaxing, and romantic melodies to play with your other by candle light. Almost every record they brought out you can just hit play on song one and never touch the seek button as each song is worth listening to...

"We got the power. We got the glory. "

Pros:
Superb nearly definitive collection of Def Leppard.
Cons:
The new track needs to go.
The 1980s are a time that many rock fans would prefer to forget. A lot of limp and weak hair metal pervaded the time and much of that is forgettable. However, some genuinely good rock music did emerge from that era. One of those bands that managed to produce some good rock music is the hard rock quintet from Sheffield Great Britain known as Def Leppard. Def Leppard always stood out from the pack in that their music was generally more involving than many of their contemporaries. Many of the hair bands such as Winger produced party music that sounded fun while it was on the stereo, yet was so...
