This movie is another "classic" by Tommy Lee Jones! Like his other movies, U.S. Marshals keeps you on the edge of your seat and leads you on an unpredictable and exciting journey.

Great action, adventure and storyline; a must see movie for any adventure or Tommy Lee Jones fan!

Unlike other "cops and robbers" movies, this has some of the best intrigue that keeps you wondering "what's gonna happen next"?? The acting is superb and the story is awesome. I have watched it again and again.

It has Tommy Lee Jones in it. We really enjoyed the Fugitive and this sequel was great as well. We've been to the town in North Carolina where the train wreck happened and it's really neat!

U.S. Marshals --- With Tommy Lee Jones, Wesley Snipes, and Robert Downey Jr.
Review created: 01/26/06
by: three_ster-- a member of Epinions and Top Reviewer in Movies

Pros:
Tommy Lee Jones, Supporting cast of Marshals, tense storylines

Cons:
a little rehashed, could have used a car chase

Tommy Lee Jones was so good in his role as Chief Deputy Marshal Samuel Gerard for The Fugitive, that he was brought back for a starring role in U.S. Marshals. This time around, the story was more designed to show off the "law" side of things with the fugitive from the law being a supporting character. A lot of the same themes from the first film are repeated, and the audience is again asked to choose sides regarding who is in the right. All of Gerard's marshals return, and we get to watch as the team of law officers tracks their man. Brought on to assist them is Special Agent John Royce,...

  U.S. Marshals : A solid, tension-filled thriller.
Review created: 05/06/00
by: shadow8 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Genuine performances; exciting action scenes.

Cons:
The protagonist/fugitive in this movie is slightly less credible than the Dr. Richard Kimball character.

U.S. Marshals is a spin-off of The Fugitive that works very marvelously. This film is an efficient package full of action, knockout thrills, and suspense driven entertainment. The cast works well together and newcomer Stuart Baird (whose only previous directing experience was Executive Decision ) has managed to cleverly direct several action scenes. U.S. Marshals is a smashing success that has earned its recognition as a creditable, well-mounted action film. Mark Sheridan (Wesley Snipes) is an ordinary man *framed* for a ghastly crime he did not commit. Sheridan consistently proclaims..

  Another Fudgitive on the run
Review created: 12/24/06
by: the_mow -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Suspense, cast (especially, as usual, Tommy Lee Jones), spectacular moments during the chase

Cons:
Some characters from first movie lack development, Only one scene really memorable

"US Marshal Sam Gerard" (Tommy Lee Jones) and his team is back, this time, they're after a government fugitive (Wesley Snipes). Aiding them this time is a young government operative (Robert Downy Jr.), who volunteered to join the manhunt since the fugitive is accused of killing two of his friends and co-workers. The movie is a one long chase, but it lacks any good suspense that should make the audience hold its breath in anticipation. Snipes makes his character appear to be a formidable foe for "The Big Dog" (a nickname of Jones' character mentioned in "The Fugitive"). One thing that will...

  Collin's Take on: U.S. Marshals
Review created: 09/12/99
by: collin_ong -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Good solid entertainment and thrills

Cons:
Not much here in terms of themes and all that high-brow stuff

"US Marshals" is the follow-up to "The Fugitive," with Tommy Lee Jones reprising his role as a specialist in tracking fugitives. This time, his prey is Wesley Snipes, a tow-truck operator apparently falsely accused of a double murder. Mix in some international operatives, secretive government agencies, traitors, sidekicks, and a beautiful French girl and you've got one instant thriller. The film is one long chase, and I love chase movies. However, one thing that it never achieved was the feeling of utter desperation for the chasee that is necessary to really get the audience breathing hard....

  An Insider's Perspective
Review created: 05/02/00
by: Candice923 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Stunts, Snipes, Scenery

Cons:
Jones, Predictable

Before I write this epinion, I'd like to start out by saying that I actually worked on the second unit (stunts) on US Marshals. While my experience working on this film was wonderful, I'm afraid the film didn't turn out to be what I thought it would be. We worked long das in all sorts of weather while shooting. We had to put up with egos from Tommy Lee Jones and Joe Pantoliano (I could tell you some stories!), not to mention many of the directors. It's sad to say that $80 Million was spent on making this movie. Sam Shepard (Jones) is back again as a tough US Marshal. A sequel to the...
