wicked cars .a true car lovers movie .when cars were cars!!!i have most of the true classics .im glad they finally have this one on dvd.The dialogue in this movie was minimal at best, but with all those cool cars who cares!!

Special edition has everything any 2-lane fan could want. If you love 55 Chevys, James Taylor, movies about the trip, not the destination, movies about being alone, drag racing, just want to watch Dennis Wilson & JT in their only attempt at acting, or Warren Oates' best performance, buy this dvd! Did I mention this is my favorite movie? 5+ stars!!!

I bought this dvd as a present for my husband. It is his favorite movie and I tried to find it a couple years ago only to find out they didnt make it anymore. I was so happy to finally get it for him. He watched it over and over, and then let my brother in law (another car guy) borrow it, who watched it over and over. It was a really good present!

Great movie for the die hard car fanatic, but may seem a bit boring and sophmoric to others. The acting appears slow and forced but the race scenes make up for that aspect. All in all, a good, classic automobile related cult film!

Its a "motorhead" movie! You have to have an appreciation for the era of the Hot Rod, because thats all that matters. Loud engines and racing. Thats what it used to be all about. The movie even shows some sportsmanship when the opponent experiences carburetor troubles and his competition solves the problem, buys the parts, and fixes the car for him. If you want to re-live that era you will definately relate to this story. Its a simple story line, maybe to simple at times, not a lot of dialogue, but its the cars that are the story. Its a quick ending. The collectors DVD has a lot of good dilogue around the making of the movie. If you want a couple hours to go back in time, this will do it for you.

I seen this picture only once, at a movie theater which is longer in existence.
Overall - It was a movie I long rememebered - and I think it is one of the top 10 car movies ever made.
It was a movie I tried to purchase last year, but was not availible.
I would highly recommend this movie for anyone who likes cars, racing and also are fans of James Taylor.
It dates me, but it is just as refreshing in my memory as the day I seen it -
when it came out.

Everything was great it was better than expected. Described perfect. Great seller and fast shipping especailly around the holidays. I bought it as a christmas present for my boyfriends dad and he loved it and had been looking for it for a long time.

Great car movie, has several great cars from the past and has many great phrases throughout. I enjoyed this movie a great deal, though I believe it was over hyped before I viewed it so I was expecting a bit more. If you like Dirty Mary Crazy Larry and Vanishing Point (the original), then I feel you will like this one as well. I am glad I finally added this to my car movie collection. Two-Lane Blacktop is on HOT ROD magazines "Top 40 Car Movies on DVD" list, and rightfully so. Is it worth the $35.00 it seems to sell for? Probably not.

Likes: Awesome Cars, memorable lines.
Dislikes: not much of a plot, pricey.
