This CD has it all. Music from several genres. It has acoustical, soft rock, even a little bit of a country feel. I lost my original CD, and loved it so much I had to buy it again. Bruce Springsteen is a LEGEND. This CD is very eclectic. I love the stories the songs tell. It's something everyone can relate to. The only thing I don't like is not a CD to run on the treadmill to. Too many slow songs, but it's great for walking.

Pros: Mature, wise, and heartbreaking.
Cons: Downbeat, purposefully missing the exuberance and fire of the E Street albums
A good friend and i had a conversation the other day. This wasn't just a generic conversation about which films deserve Oscars this year, the spiteful quality of college cafeteria food, the proliferance of terribly mismatched couples on-campus, why our advisors suck, our ongoing debate about feeling vs. skill as it pertains to popular and classical music, why she is eternally doomed to romantic advances from socially awkward types prone to overeating and discussing Tolkien and why i am eternally doomed never to consummate my yearlong flirtation with that cute bartender I've had my eye on .....

Pros: Bruce at his most personal and at times his almighty best
Cons: A few slower tunes drag, but that's what track search is for
So you re the man everyone knows as The Boss . Three years prior you all but conquered not just your homeland, but the world as well with Born in the USA . You ve also gone from being rock s most eligible bachelor to marrying dream model Julianne Phillips. What a fairy tale! Is there anything left but to live happily ever after? Just like the characters in Springsteen s best songs, all was not well in the heartland. Apparently being married to a model ain t all it s cracked up to be, and makes one take a hard look at life. It s been said great art is born of pain, and we the listeners are...

No Less Than The Greatest Adult Rock Album of All-Time!

Pros: Brilliant songwriting, A rock solid album
Cons: Younger people might not be able to relate to it... yet
In my many years of Bruce Springsteen fandom, I've found that there is a large segment of the population who doesn't understand Bruce Springsteen. As startling as that may be, it's true! Many people immediately think of the bandana clad Bruce singing Born in the USA, and what they perceive to be a patriotic song (it's NOT, but that's another story). While these people think of the IMAGE of Bruce from the mid-80's, in actuality, he's been a brilliant singer/songwriter/performer for over 25 years. Springsteen is arguably one of the greatest songwriters in rock history, taking the torch passed...

There Is Light At The End Of This Tunnel

Pros: An album full of great songs!
Cons: The underrated status of this album.
Tunnel Of Love seems to be one of Bruce Springsteen's most underrated albums. In my opinion, that is a shame. Not only does Springsteen branch out in new lyrical directions covering the topics of love and relationships more thoroughly than in the past, but he also sets out in new musical directions as well. Many of the songs seem to walk the line between sadness and hope, loneliness and comfort. A contradiction that makes each song emotional and inspiring. My personal favorite, Tougher Than The Rest, paints a vivid picture of a man's desire for love and his vow of commitment. With it's...
