This CD is good for the soul. You don't get any better than Toni's passion filled songs on this CD. Some of my favorites are "How Many Ways" and "You Mean the World To Me".
This was Toni Braxton's debut album I do believe. I purchased it because the first song on the CD was one that has always stuck in my head, but you can't ever find it in a single. The CD and jewel case were in great condition and I was able to get it at a great price.
This was the first and the best of Toni Braxton's CD’s by far. I can listen to it over and over again and have many times. Her voice is the epitome of sexy and sultry.

Not Just Another Sad Love Song When It Comes to Toni Braxton.

Pros: That voice, great love songs, enchanting arrangements
Cons: Sometimes you can't understand what she is saying.
Boomerang was one of the best soundtracks to a nineties movie for many reasons. It featured the smash "End of The Road", gave us a glimpse of a trio that doesn't want "No Scrubs" and most importantly introduced us to the sultry Toni Braxton. I first heard her featured on a duet with Babyface called "Gave You My Heart" and the chiding of an inconsiderate lover on "Love Shoulda Brought You Home". Both songs were filled with promise of a formidable talent and when her debut album came out, I immediately whipped out the cash to see if she made good on it. As history shows, she did. Opening the...

Toni Braxton, You Make My Happiness Shoot Through the Roof

Pros: Good variety of songs, Toni's voice is one of a kind.
Cons: None
Toni Braxton is one of the rare African-American artists out there. While I don't listen to her anymore, I must say that revisiting this CD was very enjoyable, and that her voice is one of a kind. She's a strong artist, and I hope to see more from her. This CD is entitled "Toni Braxton". Okay, so it's not that creative. On the front we have what appears to be a graffiti-outlined picture of Toni Braxton striking a pose for us in her halfway-taken off leather jacket; chains on her pants, etc. etc. There are twelve songs on the disc, so let's "turn and learn" shall we? Song One--Another Sad Love.

Love and Relationships 101......Taught by The Husky-Voiced Delight Toni Braxton

Pros: Literally.....Almost everything
Cons: Can sound dated at times
If love is a quintessential human emotion, why is no one able to describe in one cogent phrase what it means, while taking in all the individual quirks that each person feels when they think they are in love? The reason why this I'm pondering this possibly unanswerable question is that because I'm kind of sick of hearing the same old "I'm in love" story being repeated today in mainstream R

Pros: Stronger Lyrical concepts on this album than on later works.
Cons: Most songs are bland and forgettable, as well as dated.
Today, we know Toni Braxton as many things and for many phases of her career. We know her for releasing the beautifully flawless "Un-Break My Heart" back in 1996, and also as the artist who released 2002's deplorable "More Than a Woman." But Before all that she was just Toni Braxton with a debut album with such hit singles being spawned off of her ever-popular debut album, like "Another sad Love Song", "Breathe Again", and "You Mean The World To Me." But Honestly to me, "Toni Braxton" is not an excellent debut, I can't even say if I really believe that its 'Great'. It was a sufficient staple..
