The Young and the Restless by Irwin Barbara, Mary Cassata (1998)

I really enjoyed all the photos, they brought back great memories of the Y&R. I was able to read storylines that I had forgotten, as well as recall characters I had forgotten. It is a wonderful book for a fan of the Y&R, about the first 25 years. This is a great book about the history and beginnings of a great soap.

The book is very thorough and it explains the storylines from 1973, when the series began, through 1998. It basically tells the story in storybook form. It contains quite a few pictures of the original actors that began the characters.

Young and the Restless is on soapnet now. It is a fun soap to watch. It is very well written and has a large talented cast. This book shares the history of the soap. It contains info about the creators--the Bell's as well as the characters. It starts with the beginning of the show and fills you in on all of the past details. This show is number 1 for a good reason. It has depth and breadth. It is complicated and yet simple. It shares storylines and how they were developed. The show adds stories that produced relevent human effects--such as literacy, homelessness, foster children, adoption, and more. It is a must read for fans. You'll find out so much about the characters and their well developed and followed backgrounds. It leaves no stone unturned!

I LOVE the " Young and the Restless" and have watched it, off and on since it began. This is a great book and it was well taken care of. I found another lover of Y&R from my area through e-bay. I am really glad I got this book and how I got it.
