The Works - Queen (CD 1991)

As always, Queen is electrifying and magnetic, making you feel you are a part of the music. Stupendous musicians and performers. I especially enjoy Roger Taylor with his incredible abilities on percussion and rhythm. How a human mind can tell their hands what to do at such a fast speed is beyond me. As for favorite cuts of mine, I offer as one of my top favorites of all, "Is This The World We Created" with it's tremendous social message. There is such a wide diversity to Queen's music - from funny and silly, to really serious and all that goes between those in a broad spectrum of variety. In my candid opinion, they are the best of the best of all rock bands of all time. Losing Freddie Mercury was so very sad. He was and always will be remembered as a top of the line performer who was full of incredible energy, "Mr. Personality". He loved to involve the audience, directing their singing the chorus of a song, then telling them what a super performance they gave, that they were perfect. All of Queen loved to give the audience their best - Freddie ate it up. He loved people and it showed in all his performances. As stated in my previous reviews, I have purchased many, many Queen CD's and DVD's. Now I have purchased duplicates of many of them for family members who also enjoy Queen very much. It is incredible that I, who grew up in the Big Band Era, (I hang my head in shame) never heard of Queen until a young friend introduced me to their music. I have never looked back! and may well keep on buying their CD's and DVD's.
