The White Album - Beatles (The) (CD 1988)

The White Album has such a diversity of Beatles songs -- good, bad, sweet, vulgar, political, philosophical, mundane, mysterious.

If you don't own the White Album, you will probably find songs in here that you have never heard before. Hearing the songs in their original order, as they were released back in the 1960s gives you a lot of feel for the band and each of the individual personalities. You don't get that same sense if you hear a collection that picks and chooses songs over a longer period of time. I have owned the album for over 20 years, and each time I listen to it gives me more of a flavor for who the Beatles were.

My favorite of the album is George Harrison's "While my Guitar Gently Weeps", but there are so many other creative songs to talk about.

The boys began to branch out in this work. Classics such as Helter Skelter, Blackbird, Back in the USSR-- and Dear Prudence make this such a wonderful listening experience.. you can laugh to the antics of the Ballad of Rocky Racoon, and Buffalo Bill. All in all a very varied work with lots of staying power. After watching Across the Universe-- I just needed something better than the soundtrack which is not to say the actors didn't do the tunes justice, its just that nothing beats the Real Mccoy.

I like it. Not as good as Rubber Soul, but still good none the less. Bought for a gift for someone else and that person really liked the CD's, he likes The Beatles. Good quality sound.

I love the Beatles and did not have this album. I was thrilled to get it cheaper than the stores price.

Album as a whole has alot of songs that show the diversity of the musicians that made up the band. The band song writers also made it clear on how they viewed the events of the time. One of the last major undertakings of the beatles before the split.

This was an excellant purchasing experience. CD arrived in New condition as advertised, and was very quick in getting here. Thank you for this professional experience

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. Classic rock is a great thing to pass on to succeeding generations! This is a great album for that.

Talk about a collection of songs that are all over the map. The White Album doesn't know what it wants to be. But, there is no point in me explaining what this album is. People much more musically educated than me have turned picking it apart and explaining what the pieces mean into a science. I'll just tell you why I like it.

hard to hide item in the store was real pleased to find on ebay. when seller said just like new it was . i was very pleased with this purchase

I bought this album for my godson who is 12, but loves great music. It was wonderful to be able to listen it with him and have him enjoy it as much as I did. It also brought back many great memories for me as a Baby Boomer.

When I was still in elementary school, my grandmother bought me a turntable and two LP albums for my birthday, one of these albums was the “White Album” and the other was a Monkees Album, they were the first two LPs that I had every owned and my first very own turntable. There was a rumor about the
“White Album” having a picture of John Lennon and Yoko, in bed and that if you immersed the album cover in water, the picture would magically appear, well, one night at a party that my parents were hosting, my mother decided to see if it was true, she and a few of her friends snuck into my room, stole my album and tested the rumor, to their dismay, nothing happened except that they destroyed my album cover, however she replaced it a few days later with a brand new one! So I bought this CD as a fond memory of my childhood and parents. I love it and think it may be the best one to get for Beatles fans.

Priced almost twice the amount as in our local music store or even Target or Walmart. Replaced my cassette version that wore out. Almost complete now in replacing those old cassettes I love.
Hopefully, the CD will be like the Beatles-timeless.

The beatles white album was purchased because i grew up during the time the beatles had stated. I always enjoyed listening to them all these years. The withe album was one that i liked but did not have on cd.
The price was right and the service was perfect. This was one of many of the best the beatles made.

Again, a fantastic bargain for the cd. I checked local music stores and they were substantially higher priced. E-bay has the bargains, hands down, and I will continue to shop with them.

i am a beatles fan! i owned this album before and it was stolen. i was on my way to a family function and they were playing the white album,(breakfast w/ the beatles)i knew all the words and remembered how much i love and miss this particular album.i have it on vinyl but that doesn't play well on my ipod! so finally i decided to rebuy it. this is my second purchase on ebay. i am pleased with the swift response and recieving of my parcel. this was a special 30th edition and i was excited about the price i bought it for. i am braking on to the ebay scene, you have a repeat buyer in me!

In the 60s, there are not a lot of bands releasing double albums. And I am even more sure there are less that had quality songs throughout the whole album. Moreover, the songs contained in The White Album are so musically diversified, showcasing the talents of each band member (well.. maybe except Ringo?)

Amongst the Beatles fan, there are many who will vote Revolver or Sgt Peppers as their favourite albums but, I think if someone is to select tracks off from the White Album and combine them into a single LP, it will certainly be the best album ever made.

My personal favourites off this album includes Helter Skelter (louder than The Who?), Mother Nature's Son, Sexy Sadie, While my guitar gently weeps, blackbird, and I Will. Ok. i'm more of a McCartney fan.

I personally think this album isn't the best starting point for someone listening to the Beatles but this is certainly the essential album to have for everyone who listens to music.

It was maybe the first sign that all was not well in the Beatles camp showing a branching out by the 4 members into almost solo efforts under the Beatles title. Yet it still remains a favorite among any Beatle fan it really has everything from pop, metal, experimental, folky, and even has lush strings attached.

I've always liked the Beatles and this has some of classis songs; Rocky Raccoon, Black Bird, Julia, etc. I like the mixture of songs, the fast songs and the love songs.

CD arrived in excellent condition. Music is great--The Beatles White Album. I must say I am thoroughly enjoying it. My 8th grade son is really into it , as well. Amazing how these classic Beatles songs can span the generations. Would be glad to buy from this Seller again.
