The Weather Man (2006, DVD)

Nicholas Cage was all the advertisement it took to put this movie in my living room! He does an excellent job of turning a mediocre script in a movie worth watching. I can't imagine any other actor that could have carried this off and done as well.

i love all of nicholas cage's movies...i think he is a great actor. he can play many different roles. this movie showed how a man sometimes really tries to get things back on track in his life.

This is not a good job Cage. His character is confused and he looks confused as an actor - should he act or not? The movie is overlaid the a narrative by Cage and there is no tension, suspense or much of a plot. He wonders if he should take a bigger part in deciding what he will do with his life, in the end he decides there isn't anything he can do except go for a bigger salary and hope it makes a boring life worth while - in the meantime he never learns anything- to love, to care, to make a decision. Save your money. You just want to walk up and slap some sense into Cage and demand a refundn.

I love nicholas cage movies and have yet to be disappointed. 9 millimeter was fantastic and I got it for about 3 bucks. I tried this movie because I remember seeing the trailer on tv. I'm glad I only spent about 4 dollars on this movie because it was probably the worst movie I have ever seen. Total waste of time. It went nowhere.. and very slowly. It actually depressed my wife and me. I'm not sure why this was ever made. No redeeming value or entertainment for that matter. Oh well, you can't win them all!

Basically the entire movie, cage learns how his family hates him through crude humor and language that I never really found funny. Warning for anyone buying this movie, the F-word is used every few minutes (or more).

I really liked this movie because it is easy to relate to. The lives of the characters are realistic, and that's what makes it so funny to watch them struggle through their problems to reach their goals. Nicolas Cage plays the part of a disgruntled weatherman and ex-husband perfectly. I highly recomend buying this movie. It is original and something you won't soon forget.
