Sandler sports movies are my favorites. I'm not a really big fan of Sandler but I love sports movies and Sandler seems to make great funny sports movies with the best of them. The Waterboy is one of my favorite football movies, it's hilarious. The Waterboy is filled with hilarious jokes and funny one-liners.
Adam Sandler is guaranteed to be hilarious in anything he does. I had to pull this one out and watch it after seeing "Zohan" this weekend which was another great comedy courtesy of Adam Sandler.

We had the VHS and it broke. Adam Sandler is one of our favs. Getting a collection of DVDs for travel baseball this summer. This adds to the collection
This movie is a classic! Its Adam Sandler at his best! This is a great football comedy movie. It has lots of funny moments from begging to end! I bought this as a gift to a assistant coach/waterboy(we coach a team together) and he loved it!
i love adam sandler and this movie is probably one of my favorites. he is so cute in this movie being a momma's boy to an over controlling mother, it reminds me of one of my ex-boyfriends... i just wish he had been as great of a guy as adam sandler is in this movie.
What can you NOT laugh at in this movie??!! It's funny from beginning to end. I have loved this movie ever since I can remember and had previously gotten it before I purchased this one. I had to replace my original because I let my children watch it and you know that some kids don't handle DVD's with care and it got scratched. Adam Sandler is a SUPERIOR comedian who reaches not only adults with his humor, but he keeps it toned down enough even for children to watch. His choice of support characters was amazing! Who knew K(C)athy Bates was so funny! "Foolsball" has become a term in my family that always brings a laugh. Adam has a way of keeping the storyline going and on point with the plot. If he gets any funnier in this movie, I may have to make a trip to the emergency room because I'll have pulled something vital. If you're thinking about owning this movie, please go ahead and get it. You won't be sorry! It's one you'll want to watch over and over again.
I have seen this movie several times. Its a very good movie. Adam Chandler is a very good actor. I could not find anything to dislike about this movie.
Adam Sandler is such an awesome actor and all of his movies are great but this one in particular I really love! It's so funny and so original! He does a great job and plays his true funny/angry self!
This movie is full of classic Adam Sandler moments. Funny, funny, funny! Sandler plays Bobby Bouchet, a guy who lives in the swamps of Louisiana with his momma. Bobby serves as the Waterboy at the local university until he is "discovered" by the football coach. Momma, however, doesn't like Bobby playing "foosball" and hilarious comdey ensues. Sure to entertain!
What can you not say about this movie. Adam Sandler is very very funny and the story is very good. Definately a buy over rent. Have watched this movie about 20 times and still laugh everytime I see it. The movie is about a waterboy who was told by his mother that his dad died a dehydration. But the waterboy gets picked on by all the athletes each day and finnally one day he can't take it and just lays one of the players out flat. The coach puts him on the team and he breaks the record for sacks and tackles. But the twist is his mother is against everything that doesn't involve her and that's where the story gets funnier and more interesting. You will love this movie. Probably not appropriate for children under 14. Thank you for reading my review and remember to rate this when your done....happy movie searching!!!
This movie is funny if you're an Adam Sandler fan. Its cute because Adam Sandler plays a "mama's boy" who grew up out of touch from reality and EDUCATION. His mother sheltered him because she was scared he would grow up and leave her. He ends up on a local college football team and turns out that he can be a great player if he focuses on the bad things in his life that make him angry. He also falls in love on the way. Its a funny, feel good movie. Highly recommened if you like Adam Sandlers' humor. Its good addition to the collection if you collect his movies.

The Waterboy was very disappointing.

Pros: Kathy Bates' acting
Cons: Adam Sandler, lack of comedy, and poor story line.
I had the privilege (or, at least, I think it was a privilege) of watching Waterboy last night. I had heard from many, many people that it was a great movie. They all told me that it was very funny and I just had to see it. Well, I didn t feel that way at all about it. I thought that it was one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen. I don t remember seeing very many funny parts in the entire movie. Don t get me wrong, there were some funny parts, but none as funny as I was expecting. Waterboy is a typical Adam Sandler movie in that it is quite dumb. Now that I ve said that, I will tell you...

Pros: It's mildly amusing to suggest that a single linebacker can win a bowl game alone.
Cons: It's not fair to ask Kathy Bates to carry a movie alone.
Few things in this world are harder to understand than what Adam Sandler was thinking as he slapped together his multi-regionalist accent for The Waterboy--few things, that is, apart from the popularity of the routinely unfunny comedy in which that accent appears. Despite my inability to recommend The Waterboy on its aesthetic merits, however, I have to say that watching the film managed to fill three distinct chinks in my cultural armor--armor that I am usually too lazy to take care of because it takes so much effort to keep up with the latest trends in greaves and breastplates. Here then,...

Pros: there's a pretty funny part about a snake part
Cons: Adam Sandler's wisping Cajun accent is the stuff of nightmares
I almost don't know why I'm going ahead with a review of this benighted shipwreck of a film. My in-box is already bulging with hate mail for my reviews of Titanic and The Patriot - and I have, of late, picked up a comment-stalker intent on getting me to "just enjoy" movies. As terrifying as this horde of ignoramus thought police is, and as unsuccessful as my numerous attempts at getting them to bugger off have been, I almost feel an obligation, dear readers, nay, a duty - to warn the innocents of the world when a film is about to waste your time and suck the brain through the pores of your...

Pros: fun and hysterically funny
Cons: swearing, sexuality
The Basic Plot Bobby Boucher (Adam Sandler) is a 31 year old from Jackson's Bayou, Louisiana who still lives with his Mama (Kathy Bates). After working as a "water distribution engineer" for the University of Louisiana for many MANY years ("Eighteen years of this is enough!!"), he gets fired and ends up getting a job as waterboy for the SCLSU Mud Dawgs. When the torturous teasing finally overwhelms him, Bobby snaps (emotionally not the ball) and tackles a football player. After witnessing the brutality with which Bobby makes this tackle, the coach attempts to recruit Bobby as a linebacker in..

Pros: Funny, sweet, makes you laugh
Cons: none
I really enjoyed The Waterboy, with Adam Sandler. I first went and seen it in the theatre and then when it came to video, i rented it. When it became available to buy, i bought it to add to my collection. Why, you ask? I simply LOVE Adam Sandler. =o) Adam Sandler Plays a 31 year old mentally challenged man (Bobby) who is still living with his mother. Talk about a mamma's boy...LOL! He has been a "waterboy" for a football team for 18 years of his life and he's been "abused" for all of those years by the players because he was the way he was. A coach for another team "discovers" Bobby. He see's.
