This book is more of a review of how to practice the South Beach diet. It gives examples of meal plans and how to follow them. You can do this by reading and using common sense with previously written books. There are not too many recipies to try out in the Supercharged addition. I would not have purchased this edition if I would have known what was inside of it.
As the title states I did not receive the book for weeks and eventually wrote a note to the seller. He promptly refunded. At least got the money back but not happy that I had to wait so long only to find out the book is not in the mail.
THE SOUTH BEACH DIET SERIES ARE ALL EXCELELNT. THIS UPDATED ONE IS GREAT. THE SOUTH BEACH DIET WORKS. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO LOSE WEIGHT.

I like this book because it has tons of information about how to run this diet, why the diet works, and how to implement this into your lifestyle. It also includes how to "super-charge" the diet.
So far I am really enjoying the book. It is very informative on why Americans are overweight and what the root causes are. I haven't even started the diet but just by keeping the writers notes in mind I have already lost weight. I would recommend it.
This book is great ~ it really opens up your eyes to practical methods of incorporating true healthy eating, rather than fad dieting. The Supercharged edition of the South Beach Diet includes exercise recommendations, which were lacking in the 1st edition. Highly recommend!!
It is a good book- not many changes from the original. However it has lots of great exercises in this one. I have the first book, but i'm glad I bought this one too. BB
