Excellent book! Gave very concise details for building the dryer, which we did! Author not partial to self, included other dryer options and features. Gave great information relative to drying which included layman terms from beginning to end. I highly recommend this book to home gardeners looking for a food storage alternative.

I wanted to learned how to dry food properly & since we will not have electricity when we move shortly this book seemed to be the natural choice. It is extremely informative with easy to understand instructions & pictures. We just finished building our solar dryer & have apple slices drying on it. It was so easy. I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in dehydrating foods, especially homesteaders.
