The book is excellent. Grabs and holds you with its claws until its over. Loved it and again loved it. It was the first book in a few years that I finished in 2-3 nights. The only negative part is that it is ends so soon. I would read and read. Great, just great. Would make a nice movie base. An excellent gift idea. Looks very presentable.

Lauren Stillwell seems to have a good marriage. Sure, her husband Paul has been a little distant lately. But, all marriages have their ups and downs, right? Deciding to surprise Paul with an impromptu lunch date one day, Lauren unexpectedly catches him entering a hotel with another woman. To make matters worse, she's a younger woman.
Shaken, hurt, and assuming the worst, Lauren decides to go on a little payback mission. Unfortunately, her night of passion with a coworker ends tragically, and changes Lauren's life forever. Her little quickie sets off a chain of events that turns this once moral and upstanding woman into a manipulating liar and hypocrite. In the end though, Lauren finds out that even though fate can be cruel, sometimes cruel can be kind. And, sometimes fate willingly gives us a second chance.
The Quickie is a fast read; full of twists, turns, and plenty of surprises. In addition, you get a healthy dose of passion, mystery, and sweet, sweet revenge. Good for a time when you don't want to think, you just want to enjoy a good read.

Fantastic book that took a day to read. All of my friends are reading it and saying the same thing and we're all stay at home moms with small children. If we can get through it so quickly anyone can. The characters are amazing. He establishes story line immediately and holds interest until the breathtaking ending! I found myself walking around the house with the book open because I couldnt' wait to find out what happens next. The ending made the book even better because I so wasn't expecting that! If you love suspense, like I do, get this book!!! You will not be disappointed.

I found this book hard to put down and read it through in 1 day (which rarely happens). The plot reflects his classic style of twists and turns, leaving one wondering what will happen in the end. It gives a new spin on the concept of "revenge" and the outcome thereof.

Having heard what a great book this was I was anxious to read it. What started off as a good plot, shortly became absurd. I don't see how anyone would be able to forgive their loved one for murder and justify their actions as being for the good of others. This story was a let down.

James Patterson....Need I Say More???I Love James Patterson books, and this one didn't disappoint. The author lets you in on little secrets and clues, but still keeps you hanging onto the edge of your seat right until the very end. I bought this book because it was by James Patterson and he is one of my favorite authors.

If you want to read a book that will get you really thinking and keep you reading non-stop this is the one. Just when you think something is going one way it totally gets turned around. I don't want to say too much an wreck it for you! JUST GET IT AND READ IT YOURSELF! I had the book from the library for 7 days and I read it in 5. It was awesome! I wanted it to continue on it was so good. I would put this book on my TOP FAV list of James Patterson along with Honeymoon! Get it! Read it! LOVE IT!

I have been a James Patterson fan for awhile, but this is the first book of his that I simply could not put down. I started it one morning and the next thing I knew it was dinner and I had completed the book!!! I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys mystery, and it is a must have for James Patterson fans!!!

Suspenseful!This was my first time reading James Patterson. I was pleasantly surprised as I generally do not like murder mysteries. This book, however, will keep you in suspense. It's a quick, easy read that you won't be able to put down.
