Absolutely the best version of "Phantom of the Opera". The wonderful voices of Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman make this 2 CD set magical. This version also includes a text of the words of each song and also the spoken parts.

I love the music from The Phantom of the Opera. The original cast is the best of all. Product was in GREAT condition and was shipped promptly. The price of product and shipping was reasonable.

I would recommend the CD if you love the music from the Phantom of the Opera.

Here it is! The original cast recording of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Masterpiece. If you are looking for a recording of the film version, this is not for you, however if you are a fan of the Musical, you can relive the magic over and over again with this recording.
While most of the musical is adapted from the novel, it really is hauntingly beautiful. While not a true Opera, the music and acting make it very entertaining. This recording has lines from the script so it is almost like following the musical. You can listen to this rather than going to the theatre.
If you must get a C.D. of Phantom get the full Original Cast and not the watered down Highlights. This is guaranteed to bring hours of entertainment to any musical fan and even some Opera fans.

My daughter loves it because it has all the songs of the play. She listens and sings to it regularly. Sometimes we have to have her shut the door to her room.

I saw the stage show of Phantom of the Opera and loved it so much that I wanted the CD so I could listen to the music whenever I wanted. I went on line, then went on eBay to compare prices. I couldn't believe it, I found an unopened CD from the original Lincoln Center cast for very cheap, and I bought it. The CD came sealed, as advertised, and the CD played perfectly. I am very happy with this purchase.

What's to review... the CD speaks (and sings) for itself. Wonderful music and wonderful performers. The CD was just as the seller offered, excellent condition and complete and with libretto. There was nothing I disliked about it, as a matter of fact, I'm thrilled with it!

I liked this cd because, it reminds me of actual being in the opera house watching the play. The school marching band that i am in done the routine to the music of the phantam of the opera. The disc really is a really good version probably the best i hav eever heard. So anyone debating on getting this product I would say it would be your very most prized possesion you have, if you like opera. I loved it personally and listen to it ever other night.

The Phantom of the Opera contains some of the best music you could hope to hear. However, all the essential tracks can be found on the one-disc "Highlights from Phantom of the Opera." The additional tracks which are present only in the two-disc set are generally more fragmented, and most of them use the same melodies as the main songs (Music of the Night, Angel of Music, The Phantom of the Opera, etc). Unless you're a completist, or a huge fan of the musical, you probably have no reason to favor this set over the "Highlights" disc.

Excellent cd set for anyone that's seen the play OR the movie and loves Phantom. It has everything, including the libretto in the enclosed book.

I bought this CD because I saw the musical and loved it. This cd was recorded in UK. I wish if there is a cd recorded in NY. I think the American actors were better.

I bought this as a gift for my 90 year old neighbor who is a great fan of Michael Crawford. She was thrilled to receive the CD's and the included booklet with dialogue and lyrics to all the songs.
I am very pleased with the CD's, since they contained all the songs from the stage show, and since my neighbor was happy...so was I. All in all, it was a very good deal.

I bought it for my son's birthday present. We have about worn out our original copies. Have seen the show 3 times on Broadway and loved it every time. Music casts a spell on you that you never forget. Lots of emotion and excellent singing and orchestration.

I love this soundtrack! I got it right after the movie came out and I have loved it ever since! It makes you feel like you are seeing the movie agian on the big screen!
