A new edition of this mass market paperback gets printed every year. The values for mint sheets and plate blocks quoted in this "price guide" are vastly over-stated. Any eBay seller would be delighted to sell to you at Official Blackbook prices... In short, you have no hope of selling your collection at the prices quoted in this book. While some of the information at the front of the book will be helpful to new collectors, and although this new edition does make some use of color photographs, I still find this book to be a poor reference guide. If all you need is a useful up-to-date reference for US stamps, but don't want to fork out the price of a Scott Catalogue, then get a copy of Mystic's US stamp catalogue instead. You can find Mystic on the web via Google and they will send you a copy of their full color catalogue for free. At least Mystic actually sells stamps - not price guides
