I bought the Next Voice You Hear: The Best Of Jackson Brown Cd because I just bought tickets to see Jackson Brown on his current tour. I only knew a couple of his songs so I figured a "Best of" CD might help expand my knowledge. I was immediately impressed with the variety of songs, up beat dance numbers to very sad and deep recordings. The CD is perfect for anyone that wants to learn more about Jackson as it covers the lifespan of his work. I'd really recommend the CD if you're on a budget.
This CD has some great songs on it, but some of my favorites are missing. Guess it's not "The Best" of Jackson Browne, in my opinion, but still worth having.
This is an excellent selection for the newer Jackson Browne fan. This is a great mix of his tried and true hits. There are no surprises on this cd. He covers Doctor My Eyes...(1972) The Pretender...(1976) Running On Empty...(1977) and Tender Is The Night...(1983). Also thrown in is a couple of other smaller hits and a song or two from the 1990's. A fine addition to any collection. Mostly a re-release. If you already own most of his stuff, it may not be worth buying.
