The Matrix (1999, DVD)

The Matrix is a great movie for so many reasons. You have a great soundtrack, prefect actors, action scenes like no other, and special effects that are jaw dropping. Keanu Reeves stars as Neo who leads a pretty boring life. All the sudden he gets a message to follow the white rabbit, then has to choose between the red and blue pill, learns Kung Fu, and has to become "The One". While he doesn't believe he is "the One" Morpheus does and does everything he can to train Neo the best he can. This movie also introduced bullet time, a very cool special effect. My favorite part of this movie is when he walks into a building, the metal detecter beeps and the guard asks him to remove any metal objects, you should know the rest and if you dont, you need to See this movie! It is a great movie all around!

My son wanted the movie and I couldn't find it anywhere so I looked on ebay and there it was. So I decided to bid on it to see if I could win it for him. Of course I did and so now my son is very happy and now he has the whole set. This is the reason why I bought it. Thanks Judy

This is a classic and I'm not talking pickles. Bought it cause for some reason I had #2&3, but not the first one. Now my collection is complete!

Keanu Reeves delivers an awesome role in this great action explosive science fiction movie. I loved the graphics and the story/plot. This movie is excellent for all ages. My family and I had a house fire and this movie was at the top of my list of ones I needed to replace, IMMEDIATELY!! Highly recommended.

Oh my gosh! What an action packed, involved movie this was. The scenes, the story, and the actors were all fantastic. You definitley want to watch this more than once. There is so much to see, and understand. Very fast paced, edge of your seat movie. I loved it!!!!

This movie was a breaktrough on the future ideas of our planet, even though the subject is a little unreal, what can be considered real.

I`m NOT a sci-fi fan, and didn`t buy into all the pro-Matrix hype back in the day. Big mistake! This is an awesome movie, and while it IS sci-fi, I feel it trancends genre. The story, action, effects, and so on will endear it to about anyone, so long as they keep an open mind. If watching this movie for the first time, you must pay CLOSE attention the first 35+ minutes, until Neo meets Morpheus...the "red pill" part. When this "red pill" thing happened, I about fell out of my chair. It`s one of my favorite parts in ANY movie. If you give this movie a fair chance, you`ll be glad you did. I just bought a DVD so I could see it uncut (only watched it on AMC up to now), and I anticipate it will be even better, if that`s possible. Just get it!

Great action movie a must see for anyone who likes action movies. Lots of explosion lots of violence. This is a must buy for everyone

Makes you question reality.... brings up some interesting points on how we view our world. Are we really here or is it all an illusion and an in depth dream created by machines?? Why do so many things taste like chicken? Hmmmmmm

The Matrix is one of my all time favorite movies. I loved the scene when Noe and Trinity shot their way through the lobby. The Matrix is one of those movies I can sit and watch over again, even though I know how it all works out. I suppose it part of the magic. But somehow you can't shake the feeling maybe it will all end differently this time.

Unlike many other FX movies, this one isn't too bad on the small screen either.
