Ten years have past since Dr. Tim Le Haye & Jerry B. Jenkins first published Left Behind. It became wildly popular & they continued the story into a whole series of books. I think there are currently 12 books to the set. This is the eighth book in the series. Based on interpretation of the Book of Revelation from the Bible, Left Behind is the story of the beginning of the end of the world as we know it. I have already reviewed the first 7 books, they are:1)Left Behind, 2) The Tribulation Force, 3)Nicolae, 4)Soul Harvest, 5)Apollyon, 6)Assassins, 7)The Indwelling. We are well into the tribulation period now with Nicolae Carpathia "resurrected" from his assassination & indwelled with satan himself. The time has come for all people left on earth to make a choice, to take the mark of the beast or to die refusing. Of course the members of the tribulation force will refuse & are in more danger now than ever. The trib force members that are working in Carpathia's palace must find a way out. The Trib force & other Christians discover that they have a mark of their own given to tehm by God. It is only visible to other believers. The book ends with Carpathia heading off to Jerusalem where he will proclaim himself God. The books always keep you wanting to read the next & this one is no different. Published by Tyndale House. The Mark - book # 8 from the Left Behind series
) I bought the book, The Mark, because as a Christian, I love the series (12 books total). All believers and espically all non-believers of God need to read the entire series.
As foretold in the bible, the "Rapture" will be here one day. Only God knows when that will happen but when it does we need to be ready - i.e. Christians.

This book is one of the eight novals from the Left Behind series. They are all excellent choices to read and enjoy. I would recommend them to all. They will keep you interested and you will not be able to put them down.

) If I had to describe this book in one word, it would be "sobering". My heart broke as I read about the believers who were beheaded rather than recant their faith in Jesus Christ and the others who watched this atrocious act happen. The scene is so descriptive that I stood in their shoes and witnessed. It is a very gripping book and one that makes you want to live right and do God's will so that you won't have to endure the trial of having to face "taking the mark"! Once you pick this whole series up, you won't want to put it down! It's addictive reading!!!

I am excitedly making my way through this series. It has renewed me in my faith and has sparked me to return to the level of service I was at before I had my baby (ok - he's 12, I'm a slooooow healer!!!). In this book the Antichrist is risen and is indwelled with Satan. He plans to desecrate the Temple and break the treaty with Israel. Carpathia declares himself god and Leon institutes Carpathianism and they plan to institute loyalty marks on the heads or foreheads of his believers. Our Trib Force is still in action. David suffers a loss and suffers heat stroke at the "funeral" and meets a believer he didn't know about, Hannah Palemoon. But keeps on going and planning his, Macs, Hannah's, and Abdullah escape. Meanwhile Albie and Rayford run around dressed as Peacekeepers freeing Hattie who becomes a believer after, well read about it! Albie and Buck masquerading as Peacekeepers free two teenagers while witnessing atrocities to believers, the Tribulation Saints. In a fake air crash, Hannah, David, Abdullah and Mac flee the palace.

Excellent seller. Wanted the series in hard cover. Have read and enjoyed the series before. As a Christian I have used these books to inspire people to come to know Jeasus Christ as their own personal Lord and Saviour. Doctronally they are off in several places, but the plan of salvation is right on throughout the series.

I have the Left Behind series. I gotta tell you, once I pick up a book, it is difficult to put it down! I find myself completing a book at 2:00 in the morning and having to wake up 3 hrs later to get ready for work. These books are addictive! :0)

I have not gotten to this book since it is #8 and I am reading #6, but I am sure it is a great book. I have had a hard time putting this series down.
