The Marine
John Cena is a great personality every week on WWE programming so it was pretty obvious he would be a decent action star. WWE has been known to be over the top and The Marine is no different. Full-blown action from beginning to end.
The Marine has gun fights, fist fights, knife fights, bomb fights, and pretty much any other fight you can think of. There's car chases, explosions, glass breaking, people being thrown, and pretty much every other form of violence you can think of. That being said I didn't think this film was that graphic, the film makers do a good job covering up the blood and guts with innovative camera angles.
I already stated that John Cena does a good job as an action star and Kelly Carlson is fantastic as his wife. But the real key to this film is Robert Patrick as the main bad-guy. Patrick is amazing in almost every role he plays and this one is no different. He's funny, witty, and incredibly bad-@$$.
Watching The Marine reminded me of all of the action films of yester-year; Predator, Commando, Rambo, Hard Target, Nowhere to Run, and pretty much every other action film from the late-80's, early-90's. If you enjoy old-school action you'll enjoy this.

Rent or Buy?: If you have a Van Damme, Stallone, or Ahnold collection this film is a must buy, if not this film is just a rental.

This is another great action packed movie for all of the Action Lovers to enjoy and if you are a guy, getting to see Kelly Carlson just makes it that much better!
Although I am not a huge fan of the WWE persay, I do find myself a fan of the movies that have the superstars of WWE in them. I will say that John Cena has found his way into my must watch WWE actors along with The Rock. John Cena portrayed a tough Special Ops Marine John Triton who makes a tough decision to save three fellow soldiers by disobeying a direct order. The only devastating part of this decision is that he is unfortunately discharged from the one career he loved so much, being a MARINE! After returning home to his beautiful wife, Kate (Kelly Carlson), the two of them have an unfortunate encounter with a psychotic group of jewel theives. The leader of the group, Robert Patrick, and his posy end up making a devastating mistake by kidnapping Kate (Kelly Carlson) which brings out the best or the worst of this Special Ops Marine. You can pretty well figure out what happens then, the you know what really hits the fan.
To find out how the rest of the movie goes, I guess you will just have to watch it to find out. I can pretty much guarantee you that those action buffs out there will find this a true action thriller.
There is a lot of violoence in this movie for those with children or weak stomachs. So be warned! One thing is for sure, " THIS AIN'T NO CHICK FLICK "!!!!

I like John Cena in wrestling and think he was perfect for the part in this movie!!! Played the part really well!!! Lots of great action and special affects!!!I haven't had it that long and already watched it a few times and sure I will again!!!Overall I'd say if you like John Cena or action movies this would be one to check out!

Very awesome movie. With John Cena in this movie is the best thing to have him in it. He is very awesome and an awesome wrestler too. I have everything of him. T-shirt, Autograph photo on my walls. I love the movie. Its with all other movie collection I have in my home. If there isnt anything to watch on tv I put the movie on and sit there and watch the very sexy man being the marine in the movie.

The Marine (2007, DVD) UnratedExcellent action flick, starring John Cena from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Purchased the Unrated version, and was very pleased. Far superior to The Condemned with Steve Austin and See Now Evil with Kane in terms of acting and storyline. John Cena has a very believable role in this movie. Kelly Carlson co-stars as his wife, and Robert Patrick (The Unit) is a cold-hearted killer and diamond thief. Be advised, the continuous explosions in this film are exceptional. I am a little perplexed how a recently separated Marine can afford a new Lincoln Navigator.

The MarineI like the heart stopping, sitting at the end of your seats action. The movie kept you thinking until the end as to what was going to happen next. I really enjoy watching Cena. He is an awesome wrestler and great actor. Hope to see him in more movies. Excellent movie. I would recommend to anyone.

Awsome movieMy husband is a wrestling fan and we buy any movie that has to do with wrestling. It was like new and in excellent condition! It looked so "new" that I put it in my son's Easter basket. My son was very happy! It arrived in time for Easter and I ordered it at the beginning of the week before. Shipping was very fast!

We really enjoyed this movie. It was filled with a lot of drama, action, AND comedy. Wrestler John Cena was absolutely wonderful in this movie. He may be a great wrestler but I think that he would do much better acting. Because we saw the reviews and liked what we saw. The price was a great factor in our purchase also. We wanted it so we could watch it whenever we wanted and share it with family and friends, which is what we did. AWESOME!!!

The Marine starring John Cena, WWE champ, looks like, acts like, fights like a marine. Action movie is what you would expect and more. I was surprised at how well he acted. Looks as if he were a veteran actor. Of course the role did not require a lot and being a WWE star I guess he has been acting for a while.
If you like Cena, you should enjoy the movie. I got exactly what I wanted.
