The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (PlayStation 2)

This game is great because it is endlessly replayable and different every time. The extra features are awsome because they have interviews with the actors, them playing, and voiceovers of the characters by the actors themselves. Follows the movie exactly as seen on VHS or DVD. Tons of extra features to unlock and new moves to discover. FUN GAME!

I really liked the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and this game is awesome. The only problem is that it's pretty short.

This is one of the best games that the PS2 has to offer. I played this game years ago when it 1st came out and its still a classic and a keeper IMO for those that still have their PS2's. Game is full of fun and excitement and its just like playing out the movie. You will definitely enjoy this game.

Even though as a trilogy the games are worthwhile to play, "The Return of the King" is more enveloping and "realistic." This is a must for any Lord of the Rings fan (or even just a hobbit!) and is worth the money spent. There is some lack of detail in scenes but as expected the game makes up in usability and creativity. Overall, just go play the game!!

I bought this game because I really liked the Lord of the Rings movies. After doing a little research online, I saw that it was rated fairly well so I decided to buy it and I was not disappointed. The game has pretty good graphics and does a great job of recreating environments from the movie. The only major drawback is that the character models don't look so much like their actor counterparts. Still this does not defer from really fun gameplay. The sound is where this game excels because it uses the actors from the movies voices' and also gives the sense that players are really surrounded by all sorts of action taking place. This game brings a lot of action and does a good job of putting the players into situations filled with chaos, just like the movies. Overall a good game that is fun to play, the graphics are the only downside, as I have seen better, but the graphics themselves are still not bad, just not amazing.

This is an awesome game that was found at a great price. It was still factory sealed and I am a big lord of the rings fan. The game is a hack and slash type game which I love. Im not a big fan of final fantasy style games so when I found out that this was not like that I picked it up as soon as possible. This game was impossible to find anywhere else for less than $30.00. So I am very pleased with this purchase. Thank You!!

First the books, then the movies, and now the game...all excellent. If you like the LOTR world you'll enjoy this game. If you also want a fun 3rd person action game, you'll find the perfect one here. The control over the fighting, including combo moves and blocking blows is sophisticated enough to bring it above a simple "pound the X-button as fast as you can," yet not too complex so that you need several hours of play before you can really succeed. It's not too difficult to conquer the game, but enjoyable enough you'll still come back to it to replay levels and improve your rankings. Very fun.

I bought this game brand new several weeks ago from Half.com because of its low price. I couldn't find a game I really wanted that was new and as low-priced as this one any where else. It works just like a new PS2 game should. I am very pleased with my purchase and intend to go to Half.com for many such purchases in the future.

Good seller. The seller was willing to send emails and check up on the Item. The game was going to be a real cheep buy If I would not have forgot about it. To bad the order never got through and I got a strike.

I bought this for my son. He loves the game and that it challenges him. Has great graphic and is fun for kids and adults.

This game is great in refernce to the movie. You can play as any of your favorite characters plus you can even unlock special secert bouns characters as well! It begins where Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers left off and then you can choose three different pathways on the level select screen in any order you choose. There are serveral combo moves you can purchase for your characters to make them stronger as they advance in level with the highest level being 20. You also get to unlock two special bouns levels when you complete the game too! You even have character voice overs for all the people in the game which includes the Orc's, Saruman, and everyone else! I give this game a 5/5 for great game play and everthing else.

I bought this for my brother's birthday, and I haven't heard any complaints, so all is well! I know this is a good probduct. I don't play this game, but my brothers love it!

very cool game. cool levels,big battles.you can play as almost all character from the movie.you can unlock interviews from actors and director. you can unlock other characters you can earn experience points and buy new combos to attack orks.you should buy this game!

i love this game and its easier then the two towers. i can beat this game easy but cant beat the two towes. im on last level and find it impossible. someone help me. i like that this is a 2 player game as well.
