Long time Zelda fans and newcomers alike will not be disappointed.
Pros: The Phantom Hourglass is a nostalgic game on the DS with a story and gameplay that matches. There is so much to do and the new puzzle elements make it so much fun. The music and sound will take you back to every Zelda game you have ever played. Wear headphones to get the full experience.
Cons: The only con I can think of is the DS itself. The screen is small which can make it difficult to see where Link is going sometimes. I'm having to relearn how to use and hold the stylus because my hand covers the screen half the time.

"This game is... EPIC!"
I know, I know. Epic? Am I exaggerating? Nope. Few games reach epic status, one such game is Metroid Prime. I know. Am I going so far as to compare this game to Metroid Prime? No. This game is astounding.
Graphics: 10/10
The graphics of the game are quite a lot like Wind Waker's, which means graphics are either something you love, or something you hate. I am personally a fan of Wind Waker's graphics, because it is more of a storybook style, and I persoanally enjoy that, because it makes you feel like you are enjoying a great fantasy novel, as well as playing a game. That is why I give the graphics a ten.
Sound: 10/10
The sound takes you back, as always, with that first "You found a secret! DANANANANA-NANA!", and takes you back to the Wind Waker days; not a huge time jump, but enough to make you nostalgic for that ol' GCN game; the game of so many hidden treasures. The time you hear the sailing song again, you will sigh with relief. It's back... your home...
Story: 10/10
The story in this game is quite intresting. Tetra has been kidnapped, and you must find her. Wow, big suprise, right? However, the story gets more and more intresting with every new dungeon. It is great.
Puzzles: 10/10
Ok. You may start to think I am kissing up to this game, but the puzzles are amazing. Sure, they are the same ol' Push Block, Hit Switch in Right Order conviently located on sign, but then there are new puzzles such as "Open the door by writing the number of palm trees on the beach on the sign". It is like playing "Trace Memory" With Zelda. Thumbs up!
Gameplay: 10/10
From learning to roll to the Phantom Dodgings, to finding the way to find the secret cave, it is epic. Sailing, sadly, has taken a small toll, as now you may not free sail, instead navigate in a line. Fortunately, ship battles, Beedle, and barrels to dodge are still cool. Go ahead. You know the game. Let's play

For the reasons stated above, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has achieved Epic-hood. You can't beat this game. Well, you can, because if you don't then you will have failed game-hood, or your dignity, but this game deserves respect, care, and honor. This game will live on as one of the greatest DS games of our time. It isn't Twilight Princess, but in some ways it is better (Because this game actually has hard puzzles before Arbiter's Ground!). You will love this game. Welcome home, Link. Go on. You can stop reading. Go play.

I have always loved Zelda since the first one came out and this one goes above and beyond. It uses so many of the features on a DS, for example you get to use to stylus as you sword, blow into the game to blow out flames & yell into the mic to make some the evil things to cover thier ears or stun them. Just a great game.

the legend of Zelda:Phantom hour glass(Nintendo DS)i have played The Legend of Zelda Links Awakening, The Lenend of Zelda oracle of Seasons, The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages(gameboy and gameboy color), Classic NES Series Zelda II the Adventres of Link, The Legend of Zelda a Link to the Past/four seasons,The Legend of Zelda the minish cop(gameboy advanced/sp)and this is the best of all the portable Zelda games i have played. Fantastic graphics, challenging, great to play with others on the on wifi mode. Not for children that can not read, as it requires reading at a 3rd grade level or higher.

Out of the whole zelda series, i think this is the 4th best. The graphics are quite good for a nintendo DS but the plot can be a little more intresting like Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask and Twilight Princess

The best game for the DS so far!It's kind of shocking when you think about it, but despite the Nintendo DS's nearly three-year lifespan, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is the first Zelda game to hit the system. The good news is that it was worth the wait. Phantom Hourglass is essentially a sequel to the GameCube Zelda adventure The Wind Waker. It retains the art style, surrounding world, and plot of that game, but it revamps the mechanics for DS use. The result is a game that is unmistakably Zelda, with its perilous dungeons, tricky puzzles, and engaging boss battles; at the same time, Phantom Hourglass is a unique and innovative entry in the series due largely to its exclusively touch-screen-based control scheme. Everything you do in the game involves taps and swipes of the stylus, from traditional fights and puzzles, to new and specialized functions that really change the way you think about playing a Zelda game

A great game, lots of puzzles, and that's what zelda games are known for. The game controls take a little bit to get used to. After a while you'll be a pro at attacking and moving with the styli.

Whether your a fan of Zelda games or just a newcomer looking to buy a good game on the ds, this game will not disappoint. Phantom Hourglass definately takes advantage of the full capabilities of the ds. The controls are great, moving Link with the stylus feels very comfortable and you should get the feel withing the first couple of minutes of playing.
The graphics are awesome, the story is very entertaining and comedic as well. One of the things I really enjoyed about this game was the variety of weapons and puzzles in the game which are sure to get you thinking at times. Overall this game was very well put together and if you own a ds it's a must have. Whether your a parent looking to buy a game your kid will enjoy or are an adult looking for a great handheld game, this game will not disappoint anyone. Definately not a game you want to pass up.

Legend of Zelda - Lots of Fun!

Ok...let me start by saying that I am not a teenager. Far from it. But I am a gadget person and love games, so I did a lot of research and decided to buy the Nintendo DS. Cool. So......what games to get? I bought the Brain Age 2 game, which is great because, as I said, I am NOT a teenager - and every once in a while it's nice to know I still have a brain that works. And the skill levels increase nicely.
As for the Legend Of Zelda, I read reviews from people of all ages and it seemed challenging without being over-the-top and like work. It does just that.
Challenges and mini-puzzles are everywhere and, to me, it is one game I want to keep on going and going. Are the characters hokey? Heck, yeah! But if you can get past the Japanese-style character drawings, it keeps your attention going as the game progresses.
If the drawings were more "real" I would have given it an EXCELLENT rating.
As for the Legend Of Zelda, I read reviews from people of all ages and it seemed challenging without being over-the-top and like work. It does just that.

This is a great game and I got it for a bargain! Ebay is the best place to shop! Besides that, the game keeps you entertained. The puzzles, missions, and miny games are fun and not complicated enough to irritate and annoy, but not too easy that it becomes to boring.

When I first heard about this game, I was a little hesitant to buy it because it was the first game that I had bought for the Nintendo DS. And it took me a little while to get use to moving around using the stylus. But after a while I got use to it and it is a very nice addition to the Zelda series. Ever since Zelda came out, I have always enjoyed playing it. I can still remember playing Zelda for the Nintendo 8-bit system and all the fond memories. That's the wonderful thing about classic games, you never get tired of them and they provide so many happy memories. I was happy to see that the graphics of Phantom Hourglass were animated like the graphics of Wind Waker. It has a very nice story, and it is a very wonderful game. What I didn't like about it was that the Sands of Time draind from the Phantom Hourglass faster that I would have liked. But once you find all of the sands of time, it is not so bad. It is actually pretty challenging. The other thing is, sometimes while in battle, you have to rub the stylus against the screen. I was worried that this would hurt the screen. But there was no damage done. I love the graphics, the sounds, the story, and the adventure of this game. It is a very fun game and will surely be a classic.

helped us thru a bad time, the good sellers dont try to take advantage of the public, they sell their items for less than you could buy it form a store. thats why people get online, to find cheaper prices. otherwise i would ve just bought it at walmart. so i like ebay, i can always find a better deal at ebay.
