The Last Boy Scout
The Last Boy Scout isn't spectacular but it's a great action film with a decent plot and some awesome action scenes.
Willis and Wayans make the perfect pair and the supporting cast is great as well. The bad guy is superb and played incredibly well by Taylor Negron.
The Last Boy Scout is funny and action packed and is a perfect movie to just sit back and enjoy.

This is an action movie with Bruce Willis. If you didn't know better you would think that it was another die hard movie only not quite that good. If you like action movies you will probably like this one also. It has Halle Berry in it but they bump her off way too soon.

This is my son's all time favorite movie. I was happy to find it as I have been looking for it. It will make a great birthday present. The chemistry between Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans is great. Good action along with a good story line.

The only reason I went to see this movie was because of Bruce Willis. No one plays a down and out half drunk wiseguy with a hell bent desire for revenge like Bruce Willis can portray.
This movie has an ok plotline but lots of action and for all Bruce Willis fans you will not be dissapointed.

To say that 1991's The Last Boy Scout overflows with cliches would be accurate. To say that it's story crosses the margin of far fetched is also a safe bet. But to just fling The Last Boy Scout into the recycling bin of late 20th century machismo films without prior viewing would be a grave mistake. No stranger to action films a go-go, Bruce Willis plays our cliched hero: a down-and-out, chain-smoking detective named Joe Hallenbeck. Weighed down with self hatred, Joe is also bogged down by a less than kosher family life: a marriage on the rocks with his adulterous wife Sarah (Chelsea Field)

Now that I have your attention, It is time to tell you about Halle Berry's part in "The Last Boy Scout" Yes, she plays a stripper, "Corey" and her assets are sadly, under used. In fact, Halle has potential and begins to give a little performance, but the film makers decide we would like to see the two stars, (no, not the pasties) Wayans, and Willis, debate with macho tough guy talk. I know that was what I was hoping for! Then Corey goes and gets herself shot up. Totally disappointing. She wasn't a big star yet, so she was a disposable character in the film. No way anyone would go and kill off.

There are two types of movies in this world. Movies that are for guys and movies that aren t. The Last Boy Scout definitely fits in the former category. It s as though producer, Joel Silver, and screenwriter, Shane Black said "Let s make a movie that red-blooded American males age 18-34 will enjoy. We ll need some babes, some comedy, a couple big name action stars, a good explosion budget, and what the hell, let s throw in some football." This isn t a film that is going to go down in history as ground breaking. Bruce Willis is more exciting in Die Hard. Damon Wayans is funnier in Blankman....

I guess you could say that I'm somewhat prejudiced when it comes to Bruce Willis films, but so be it. I like this guy. He has a unique combination of charm and cynicism, which makes his one liners come of better than the other action/adventure actors out there. And in this film, The Last Boy Scout, he seems to be a very cynical private detective, with a drinking habit, a cheating wife, and an out of control daughter. But things take a turn as he lands a case protecting the stripper girlfriend of a blacklisted NFL hero. I don't want to go to much into the plot of this one. It's best enjoyed.

This is a movie. I was going to leave it at that, but I dont think you would have been very satisfied. This movie was packed with humor, action, and some vintage Bruce. This is one of my favorite Bruce Willis movies, he is very good at playing the down and almost out characters. I love the humor in the script and how well this fits together. Damon the most talented of the Wyans brothers is matched perfectly with Bruce. They compliment eachother and neither one overshadows the other.
