A Must Have For the Collector! This original Jungle Book will warm your heart! A great movie for the entire family and it will get you singing! One of my all time favorites!
Disney stuck gold with this film!! This is one of those great coming of age stories, but with a twist, the boy who's coming of age was raised by animals, Literally!! The buy Moglee, was orphaned in the Jungles of india at birth and had to be raised by a bear and a panther... This film contains some great musical numbers that the whole family can enjoy!!
I am very sorry I can not give a review because I bought it to give to doll club. My Doll Club had a doll sale and we were puting it with a Balloo for a silent auction to raise money. This money goes to needy children around Chrismas and sometimes other holidays. Our club tries to use at least as much of the money twored children of need or Families of need.Sold well our club was very happy with the price of the sale of Kish bear and Jungle Book Video as a pair for a silent auction.
This is a hard to find item that my teenager wanted to give a friend for Christmas. We could not shop for it in stores. Thankfully, we found it on ebay! Great movie!!!!
I wasn't sure whether my 3yr old would like this movie or not, so I decided on the less expensive VHS version of it. It is a hit in my house. My son often finds himself break out in song & dance. This is a classic- you can't go wrong!!
It's an awesome Disney classic. I think Disney better open up the "Vault" more often if they want to stay in business....My 5-year old loves the movie, as did I when I was a kid.
It was in excellent shape and plays great. We had this years ago for our children and they loved it but it got damaged and now we have little ones around again so I replaced it. Now a whole new generation is learning to love the 'classics'.
I was looking for the Jungle Book movie and found it on ebay. It was brand new and had never been opened. I needed a VHS tape which they no longer put out. The communication with the seller was great. The packaging was excellent and I found a product that I couldn't get any where else.

Pros: Last Movie with Walt Disney's seal of approval
Cons: The voice of Kaa is the same as Winnie the Pooh
The Jungle Book video has been in our video collection for over two years. The cover has long been torn off the video box that is played on a daily basis in my house. I can hand the white box to my son and he knows it is The Jungle Book video. The only thing that took some getting used to was the voice of Sterling Holloway as the snake Kaa. We have come to love him as the voice of Winnie the Pooh. At the end of the video, is a clip of the story behind the making of The Jungle Book and the discussion on Walt Disney choosing the voice of the characters and he had the final say in the ending of..

Pros: Funny and entertaining for kids
Cons: Art work and some voices could be better
I have always been a kid at heart. As such, it often makes it hard for me to look critically at things I loved as a child. But sometimes, watching something anew will surprise you and you will see your flaws. Such is the case with this film. Frankly, I want to love it. Released late in 1967, this was the last animated film to be supervised by Walt Disney himself. That alone makes it a special movie. But it falls a little short of some of the true classics. When Bagheera the panther (voiced by Sebastian Cabot) finds a man cub alone in the jungle, his first instinct is to leave it. But he can't.

Pros: Delightful music; great voice talent; fun story
Cons: One frightening scene for very young viewers (please see review)
On my second date with the man who would eventually become my husband, we went to India. Not the actual country! Instead we paid an imaginary visit to storybook India via the beautiful Disney film The Jungle Book. The family theater in our college town had brought it back to the big screen, and my one-day husband was thrilled since The Jungle Book had been just about his favorite movie as a little boy. I loved his enthusiasm then, and I still love it now, many years later, when we re able to share the fun of this still-classic movie with our own little girl. The Jungle Book originally hit...

Pros: great songs, enjoyable characters
Cons: Walt Disney's last movie
This is the obstinate statement uttered again and again by Mowgli, the Indian boy raised by wolves in the jungle for his first ten years. He was discovered as a baby by Bagheera the panther and given into the care of a pair of wolves who had just been blessed with a litter of cubs. All is well until word reaches the wolves that the man-hating tiger Shere Khan is once again prowling the jungle. The council rules that they dare not put the entire wolf population at risk by keeping the boy in their midst, and Bagheera agrees to escort him to the man-village. Unfortunately, Mowgli is determined...

Pros: A swingin' animation classic restored
Cons: Does not stay true to the literature the film is based on
This 2 disc anniversary edition of "The Jungle Book" is based on Rudyard Kipling's classic book. This film tells the story of Mowgli who's parent were killed by Shere Khan, a man-eating tiger. Toddling innocently away from the scene of the murder, Mowgli finds refuge with the leader of the jungle's wolf pack; Akela, his wife and cubs. Bagheera the panther and Baloo the bear teach Mowgli the laws of the jungle as he grows, but when Shere Kahn returns those who love the boy most believe he will be safest in the village among his own kind. Mowgli, however, is determined to live forever in his...
