This book is writen in such a way that I felt like he was writing the thoughts
that I was not able to put into words, but thought them... it helped me clearify my own thoughts... very good...I hated to put it down.... I highly recomend it to anyone who wants to know more of who he is..and why he is here

Another profound and life changing book by John Eldredge. Read The Sacred Romance first... every person on earth needs to read these two books.

I bought this book because I was struggling to desire God fully with my heart. I was in a rut that I could not seem to get out of. Eldredge really put it point blank on why I was doing the things I was doing. In this book it explained to me why I had lost all joy in life. I think when I began reading this book I thought it was going to give me the answers to some meaningful life that never felt right to me. He said clear out this book isn't going to help you ful fill you life completely. Once he said that I realized many things going on. It helps you work through problems that you may never have felt as problems. This book was very blunt at some points and I did not appreciate it at the time but it was just the right cup of tea I needed.
