The Hits 2 - Prince (CD 1993)I bought the CD because I like most of the songs on it and you can get them on one cd. This makes it easier to transport! It came in good condition and was at a reasonable price.

Prince has 4 greatest hits CDs but this one is the bestThis CD is pretty much a classic by now but I it is still an awesome CD! Except for one or two songs this whole CD is filled with the best songs that you could listen to over and over again. True, you could download these songs of the internet for free but it would take you a while to get all the songs in a high quality copy so why not buy this CD for a couple bucks instead?
All the songs on this album are awesome! They are some of the best dance songs from the 1980's and early 1990's. Prince built his career with these hits!

I bought this cd as I had bought the first one and there were alot of songs I believe could have been compiled into just one cd. Again this one had songs I didnt remember being hits as was with the first one. I should have passed on this one too.

I purchased the Prince Hits 2 CD and I love it. I seen Prince in concert a few years ago and he does not sing a lot of those songs anymore. He has "cleaned up his act" so to speak. But all those great songs are on this CD and I can hear them all I want. Great CD for all Prince Fans! The Prince we know and love from may years ago...

At parties and bars there are artists and songs that appeal to just about everybody. You know the ones Piano Man by Billy Joel, Jack and Diane by John Mellencamp, and a few others represent this exceptionally elite group of songs. One artist who consistently appears among these is Prince. I m the first to admit that it s not in the least bit cool to enjoy Prince. But, there s just something about the guy you ve gotta love. Seriously. How can you not, deep down, enjoy Little Red Corvette or Raspberry Beret? You know you get off on hearing Gett Off and Cream. Here are three seconds to admit to..

While the second set in the 2-disc Prince "The Hits" collection is pretty much the same as the first (lot of old hits with a few not-really hits, plus 2 new songs), there's a definite distinction. The songs here pick up a few of the ones I was expecting on the first disc. "Controversy" the opener, not technically a "hit" was still pretty popular, probably more so 3 years later when PURPLE RAIN came out and people started going back to pick up his older records. I remember the line "Am I black or white, am I straight or gay" being a big question mark when my cousin first played this song for...

The Hits 2 is a must-own CD for anyone who likes music. Of any kind. Prince has left an indelible mark on pop, rock and R+B, and this collection showcases him at his most polished and influential. Any fan will tell you, these aren t the best songs Prince put out between 1978-93, but they are the most catchy, the most fun and the most accessible. The uncomfortable thing about Prince (and something that turns a lot of people off) is that he wants to be everything at once, a collection of natural paradoxes and oxymorons.
