I love it. A must if you are a true Prince fan. I bought it because I am a Huge Prince fan and I collect whatever I can of his whether it's music or memorabilia.
The CD was originally released in 1993 as part of a box set. The Hits 1 featured more of his hit singles and radio friendly songs. The highlights of the CD are his well known songs such as: When Doves Cry, 1999, Let's Go Crazy and 7. The rest of the CD features much of his obscure songs but reconizable ones such as I Feel For You and the original Nothing Compares 2 U. However, some songs on here are quite stale and dry. If you're a Prince fan and really want the Prince songs you know and love like Little Red Corvette, Kiss, etc.., you'll find that on the Hits 2. The CD lacks the comprehensive songs that you want to hear. It's worth it though, if you are a die hard Prince fan.
i wanted the record thieves in the temple. and after i say all the other good hits that were listed it was just too good of a bargin to pass up. my son came over and tried to walk off with it and my daughter put it in her purse and i had to retrieve it again.

Pros: "Nothing Compares 2 U", and other great Prince classics
Cons: A few of these "hits" weren't.
Any record that starts with that classic "When Doves Cry" guitar opening can't be all bad. Throw in some other Prince favorites and you're golden. I got the Prince Hits/B-sides box set for my 21st birthday. My girlfriend was working a graveyard shift and sleeping in the evenings when I got home from work, and our son was only a few months old. Our apartment was only 4 small rooms, so my music listening time was very limited and it was forever before I got to sit and listen to the entire set. But I remember coming home from work the day after I got it, putting the sleeping baby next to me, and.

Pros: A voice that transcends "Pop"
Cons: If your kids are smart, they might understand the subversive sexual innuendo.
Prince has had long career, which for the normal "Pop" sensation would mean that with each album release, there's one really great track that everybody knows and loves, and nine other mediocre songs all of the same format (and usually with the same theme). He's an outstanding musician, obviously a guitarist, however has self-educated himself in most of the other instruments you hear resonating behind him. That said: true musicians are perfection-obsessed and always have final say in what a consumer hears. Prince, as well as all of his producers and cowriters, have superb imaginations, making..
