An inspiring movie that tells the story of one's man's struggle to over come his past and to pursue his dreams of breaking the the hour record. As a cycling fan I was inspired to train harder, but the movie was a bit choppy and short on details. The acting was very good but the main character lacked proper development and I was left wondering why he was so depressed and discouraged.
They obviously don't speak English in Scotland. The accents were so harsh, this movie needed subtitles. Perhaps the sound was bad as well, but I found myself straining to hear and understand what they were saying, even staring at their lips. I think I only figured out some of it because of what was happening in the movie. ANYWAY... I liked the content. I thought the underlying mental problems were shown very subtly instead of beating the viewer over the head with it. I like that. The quiet parts of this movie moved me much more than the exciting conclusion. I like bikes. If you don't this might not hold your attention as much but still worth a look.
