The Essential Bruce Springsteen never skips a beat, even if it's incomplete.

Pros:
They placed 30 career-spanning cuts on two CDs, and the rarities disc is sweet.
Cons:
There will be a judge of track selection, since some classics are lost.
It was bound to happen after about 35 different releases. I was anticipating it from the moment they had released so many of them it had began to be a trend. They had already reached Bob Dylan, Sly Stone, Johnny Cash, The Clash, Miles Davis, and even Men At Work. I didn t know how it was going to be done, or what was going to go into it, but damned I was when I finally saw it for myself. It is here, it is now... ...it is THE ESSENTIAL BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN! Did I say that out loud? Much like the retrospective releases of Dylan, Davis or Cash, it is impossible to have 2 CDs do complete justice to..
