The End of the Innocence was a song I liked since when I was in University in the 90s. Inever knew the title and the singer until January 2007.Two days after I knew those two informations I ordered the CD.I loved it.
Don Henley is great, naturally - but I bought the CD for The End of Innocence, and for some reason I thought that song was Fields of Gold (which isn't even by Henley!) so I was shocked but not dissapointed.
Great CD if you like end of the innocence also it has heart of the matter and last worthless evening on it other then that the faster songs well they are hard to get into great CD to cut the ones you want and burn them into a collection
I am a huge Eagles fan, and when Don Henley put out this album, I had to have it and I was hugely impressed by it. He has a distinct voice and fantastic lyrics. In my opinion this album and "Building the Perfect Beast" are must have albums if you enjoy Don Henley songs.
Tracks:
The End Of The Innocence How Bad Do You Want It? I Will Not Go Quietly The Last Worthless Evening New York Minute Shangri-La Little Tin God Gimme What You Got If Dirt Were Dollars The Heart Of The Matter
When I first became sick and disable, I had to sell all my CD's to get money. I bought the CD to add to my collection. Which all CD's I have bought have been in great quality. I love it. Also, it was a great price.I love the fact that I am now able to buy CD's and to build my CD collection back at a price I can afford. I work with a Great website EBAY, Great Sellers and great prices.
I like the quality of sound reproduction...It would be great to test speakers out with the crystal clear vocals and solid percussion combinations. The affect is deep, personal, and unique in all the different songs. It reflects the true nature of the artist and can easily relate to all of us in some way....

Pros: Some great lyrics, Nice vocals, Decent arrangements and instrumentals
Cons: Some real duds
My mother, an avid enemy of rap music, abhors pretty much anything on the radio right now. Every now and then, when she is feeling especially vocal about it, she will challenge me by shouting, "What will your generation leave behind [musically]?!" It is unfathomable to her that any of today's music will endure and be sung in fifty years. She usually comes to this level of angry goading while we are traveling in her car and she hears "Hotel California" or classic Stones that she croons along to. I mention this because as I listen to Don Henley's "The End of the Innocence," it occurs to me...

Pros: Excellent songwriting, Great Lyrics, Quality Music
Cons: Songs can be really depressing!
Being a huge Don Henley fan I take a real delight in sharing this epinion with you! This is not my favorite Henley album but it is great one! I think his new album "Inside Job" and "Building the Perfect Beast" are better but not by much. Don stormed the airwaves in 1989-90 with some of the biggest hits of his career off this album. The title track, "End of the Innocence" was a big hit, as well as "The Last Worthless Evening", "New York Minute" and "Heart of the Matter". This album has some strange tracks, like "Little Tin God", "If Dirt were Dollars" and "Shangri-La" but if you listen...
