The Eminem Show [PA] - Eminem (CD 2002)

The Eminem Show proves to be yet another good release by the controversial white rapper, Marshall Mathers, a.k.a. Eminem. He lays down rhymes with lots of style and good beats. Always a friend of controversy, you'll find lots of that with this album - but in a meaningful and often eye-opening way.

The Eminem Show has lots of lyrics about Hailie, Eminem's daughter, and Kim, his now ex-wife. Hailie even has voice parts on a few tracks. It's great that a rapper as popular as Eminem stays focused on his daughter, as well as his music and money.

The lyrics are usual Eminem style, bringing lots of foul words and sexual concepts into the songs. This aside, the rhymes are brilliant and deal with real-world issues like controversy, sexually transmitted diseases, the effects of drugs, politics, and fighting with ex-girlfriends.

Some people say he disrespects women with his lyrics, but I'm a female and I'm not too offended. However, if you are easily upset or offended, this album may not be right for you. I found it was definitely worth my money.

This album is an invigorating and pleasurable listen from start to finish. Of course there are favorite songs, but not one is a definite skip. I especially enjoy this cd in my jeep, although I will admit, it can be a catalyst for escalated road rage. I'm almost positive that it shouldn't be considered a good thing to have the ability to identify with Slim, and yet, so many of us do. Having such a medium at my disposal to "clean out my closet" and to do it so articulately, would be heaven sent...I applaud the Eminem Show...

If there is anything positive that people can say about Eminem, it has to be that this man is a lyrical genius. He has more than proven to be ONE OF THE BEST RAPPERS of the past ten years. As crazy as a looney toon, he takes you on one outrageous adventure after another. With every LP Album that he releases, he is constantly pushing the bar higher for himself and others to follow. Being the inspiring entertainment artist that I am, talent recognizes talent, and Eminem has plenty of it to spare. "The Eminem Show" is an "outrageously throed" work of art. It's no wonder he has a legion of devoted fans. I had forgotten just how good it was. Every track is worth listening to. But WARNING folks, remember who we're talking about. Eminem's content at times may be too extreme for some people, but he always makes it sound "so good" - that you find yourself just not careing about the content at all. So, if you can stand the content, love Hip Hop and his looney sense of humor, then you gotta get this Album (if you don't already have it).

I bought the CD to replace a very used copy. I had the original since it was released and I didn't take very good care of my CDs when I was in my teens. So, i figured i'd buy one from someone that either A. took really good care of their CDs or B. They didn't care for it and hid it away. haha

Thought it was a good buy, untill I got around to listening to the whole thing.From a certain point on the cd skips.

Excellent if you like the "typical" EMINEM aura. Actually, he's a little "too crude" for my taste, but like one of the songs. Highly recommend PARENTAL GUIDANCE on this one. Surely not suitable for children or unstable "adults" for that matter.

i bought it because i love to listen to eminem and i didnt have that cd and its was at a low price.i loved that it was near mint condition but what i didt like that it didnt come with the little booklet that it comes with you know the front cover
